Tamayatech - Speed may be a problem
I ordered a PDA through this merchant two weeks ago, choosing them because they appeared to be one of the few who still had the model I wanted. After receiving an acknowledgement of my order, which indicated that I'd get a second e-mail when the item was shipped, I waited almost 2 weeks before following up with a note asking the status. (I used an e-mail as the toll-free number gave me a recording asking me to leave a message).
After no response on my e-mail (sent on a Friday about noon), I followed up on Monday with another phone call, this time leaving a message to call me back, and an e-mail asking for some sign they had received the first note.
24 hours later, having still not received a response, I followed up with 2 more calls to their sales line, both of which rolled me to a recording. (I can't believe it that they don't answer their [u]sales[u] line.) At that point I concluded that these people aren't in business and I needed to find my PDA elsewhere. Just to be safe, I sent another e-mail asking that they cancel my order.
Here's the good news. I received a response(!), indicating my order had been cancelled, and that they didn't understand why I didn't receive the e-mail they'd sent telling me the PDA was on back order. THEY DID NOT CHARGE MY CHARGE CARD. They did, however, amaze me with their slowness of response time.
So - if you are in a hurry, you may want to place your order by phone rather than the internet and try to get some firm commitment on follow-up.
Good luck.
