NewEgg help needed!

I made the mistake of ordering from newegg.com and paying by check. They emailed me to say that my bank had refused payment on the check. The blank verified that the check had cleared and the merchant been paid. I need a telephone number of a real person at that corporation to end the useless emails. Has anyone ever been able to contact them by phone using an 800 no. preferably. It shouldn't be my responsibility to pay for their mistakes.

Try this number 800.New.Eggs or if that one does not work, try 800.390.1119...GL and report back to us!

I contacted Newegg for you and pointed out this thread. I'll try and watch for a response.

You may also want to post a comment in a review of Newegg. I know they watch that and respond quickly to negative feedback. They also like positive feedback, especially if they've resolved a problem.

Check out the Newegg reviews here. Newegg responds to bad reviews and usually has a contact person included in their response. I would contact that person. I've done it in the past and have been happy with their assistance.

The second telephone number is correct and I spoke with a polite young lady. As for a desired response, that may or may not be coming. She asked that I send a fax showing the cancellation on the back of the check which has been cashed per my bank. I offered to do that IF she would deduct 10.00 from the cost which would cover my costs to get a copy. Our bank does offer interest bearing checking but customers do not get canceled checks, everything is electronic. So I will give them through the first part of the week and see if I get an appropriate response.

$10 bucks? Seriously? Your bank doesn't have online check imaging that you could just print out from the online account view?

Did she agree to the $10 'discount'?

10.00 it is because the checking account we have does earn interest. It seems Newegg has more control of this forum than I thought. I left a negative review (customer service will never call back or email despite promises) and it disappeared. makes you wonder how many other company reviews are also slanted.

You need to get a new bank if they charge you $10 to view and print out the electronic images of your canceled checks online.

Apparently you haven't read the FAQ here:

With the help of this website and it's reviews, someone who actually had the authority to do something and who was capable of contacting me, has fixed the problem, I hope. Refusing the package which they said they canceled may only start a new round of telephone calls (restocking fee?) Hopefully not. If I were a part of their management group, there would be a strong push for communication skills.

I am surprised that you are having problems with Newegg. They have always gone the extra mile to help resolve a situation. Just take a few minutes to read their reviews. I trust them.
