Actually, this link doesn't work from this site, but if you go to Acer America, there is a link at the top of the page. You then select your language and begin the registration process.

I posted a (very) negative review on newegg in regards to an acer netbook I had purchased some month's ago, somehow it has disappeared from the site. If the issue gets resolved I will post a positive review, but in it I will recommend others to not purchase the acer brand as my customer service experience was sub-par to say the least. In short: acer refused to honor the 1 year warranty for the product, told me my product only had a 90 day warranty and that all products have only a 90 day warranty. All the while the thick accented woman on the phone was putting me on hold every 30 seconds & asked for my name OVER 12 TIMES. I could hear (loud) music playing in the background while she lied to me repeatedly before hanging up. I can not recommend acer for anything, unless you feel you you've wronged someone in the past and want that hurt to come back to you. I hope newegg stops selling the acer brand, it is only tarnishing their image.

Thanks for the link, but I think you "missed"my Point...
I found the page, but it Failed to recognize my laptop's
Serial Number and thus would NOT let me Register it...
Like I said, I made numerous screenshots and emails to them
but to no avail.. so my laptop NEVER got registered
and even their Manufacterer's Warranty is only for a year and
that has Passed now... that was why I originally bought the
3 year store extended warranty...but the store closed in
my area, so I don't have a place to take it in for repair.
That was why I was also asking about repair places...
I "only" need the fricken power port pin resoldered.
Shouldn't take brain surgery....
Thanks for trying.. Hopefully it will Help others....
IF they get HERE in time....

BTW, thanks for telling us about Google.... | Using the Wayback Machine at archive.org, I see that Acer has had a US support site (us.acer.com) with driver downloads and support as far back as 2004.

I still cannot look at Acer or HP with any seriousness.
From the days of awkward proprietary desktop designs of Packard bell, Compaq, HP, and Acer 15 years ago; these makers still give an awful aftertaste.
Dell is the way to go. Even if many negative things can be said about this company, they still are able to balance quality with the price. And after all, Dell among few other computer companies help us forget that awful taste of the past.

Actually,my experiences with most of the "brand name" computer retailers, including Dell, were anything but pleasant.
From Packard Bell and Compaq's proprietary madness to Dell's self destructing laptop motherboards, not to mention support people that required a translator to understand, you can have them all.Once I tried a "boutique" PC builder, there was no going back to any of those assembly line companies with their cookie cutter systems.
