Is East Side Player legit? I found this site through froogle and the site seems fishy to me but I don't know. Has anyone bought from them before? They seem to have good price but I don't know if they're legit. Thanks


They seem to accept google checkout I was wondering am I protected from scams if I used Google Checkout to order?

I actually tried to make 2 purchases from EastSidePlayer.com. The first time I purchased a phone using Google Checkout. But they were having store problems so I got refunded. Then they temporarily closed their site. (For maintenance, I guess?)

Their site went back up so I ordered the phone again but through their cart instead of Google Checkout because their server with Google wasn't working and I didn't feel like waiting. So I get a verification email stating that I bought the phone & that the money was taken from my account.

I was all happy but then I wait a week, then a week & a half, two weeks. And during that time I made many phone calls to them. I had 2 numbers, 1 of them has been "temporarily disabled" since the first time I called them & the other one was a random guy who said that he's gotten phone calls from other customers from the store & has no idea that they used his number.

I plan to file a dispute with them through my bank to get my money back. I'm pretty pissed...
