U-bid any good?? or scam

What I can tell you about them that just happened to me was I bid and won an mp4-mp3 player, that turned out knot to be an mp4 player at all it looked like a nano, I did not expect it to be as good, but this device was unbelievably bad, so when I contacted them about it they said they would put a customer rep. on it but it is starting to look like I will loose the 15% restocking fee,the postage of 18.95 for a 3x4x2 inch package that was 7 ounces give or take. the total was 53.00. I have had very few problems over the years on line 99.99 good, but when a company starts doing stuff like this you realize that if they want to they can just keep you're money and there is nothing you can do except stay the hell off line when it comes to buying stuff. I had a terrible experience with uBid shipping costs. I ordered 6 small identical gems. The price was good. They arrived about a week later in one small envelope. But I was charges $113.50 for shipping and handling! I complained to uBid but they were unsympathetic. So beware, just because you are ordering identical items from the same seller, you will be charged almost $19 every time they drop a small item into an envelope with your other small items. (Remind me not to buy frozen peas from uBid) While it is "reasonable" to assume you will be charged for only one shipping, you will actually be charged separate shipping for each item, meaning in reality, you are being charge much much more for an item than you think. In my case, about 300% higher than the item was actually sold for during the bid. So don't be reasonable - beware!

Next Day: Today, uBid offered me a full refund and even sent a UPS pre-paid label to attach to the return package. I must conclude they are much more interested in return business than is their merchant partner (DRA). Kudos to the uBid Customer Relations Department.

I ordered stuff from them years ago and got a good deal, but it seemed that as they became popular the deals got worse and worse (because of other bidders findong out about the site).

Last year I looked at them and saw that they are peddling really shitty watches and saying they are high quality.

I've never had a bad experience with them, but it seems they have changed over the years.
