Let it suffice to say, homegoodz.com are a bunch of liars and
borderline scam artists.

Do not believe a word they say about delivery dates.

It was my own fault going with the lowball price.

Do not buy squat from this company, or you'll be like me
regretting you did!

Finally got a tracking number a full week after promised.

Price grew mysteriously from 1587 to 1614 for my marine electronics too.

Homegoodz.com is a crook organization.

I will dispute the charge. Charge backs on disputes from the credit card
company will sting these dirty dealers for 35 bucks even if it's not
resolved in my favor.

I ordered the above two items from Homegoodz. I spoke with a sales person, Adam. He was very helpful and friendly.
The reason I ordered from them was because of the price, the cheapest I could find. There was no problems ordering with my credit card from Canada and having them shipped to a freight forwarded, a company receiving goods just across the border on the US side for me to pick up myself, bypassing UPS which charges a fortune to clear customs.
He needed a copy of driver's license, etc., which I scanned and e-mailed over. I asked him what happened if the grill arrived dented, and I would not be able to personally verify that the box was not damaged right away - a week or so later when I pick up the items. He said, he would take care of it.
The cover arrived within a week and the heavy box with the BBQ a few weeks later without any visible damage. Every screw and nut were inside the box. Overall, I am very happy with the very professional approach, and I will recommend buying from them. I am very happy dealing with Homegoodz and I will definitely do it again.

Rats. I thought these were the reviews. I didn't know there was another section to leave a rating.
I guess I can't leave a rating now that it's been more than year.

I thought so too. But I took the trouble to post my feedback where it belonged, simply because in my one experience I found Homegoodz to be excellent, and the negative comments will always influence buyers. If they were just to look here and buy their stuff elsewhere, they would miss a good opportunity or a good deal. I hope a positive one will tell the buyers that perhaps the not so happy ones may not have tried to deal with the situation that would have led to amicable solution.

I'm very amicable up to a point, probably it wears off when I get lied to over and over. I've been buying merchandise online for more than 10yrs and have had only 2 very bad experiences.
Obviously you did not read my original posts in this thread if you think I am at fault for this company's bad dealings.
