Why does NEWEGG.COM bother with DHL?

I too ordered something from Newegg good store... but DHL, they shipped from NJ to the middle of Long Island... But I live in Queens NY (inbetween NJ and Long Island). They could of just dropped off the package at my place while driving past it...

I don't think this is confined to DHL. This one's with UPS:

Same thing happened withe Fed-Ex last Nov with the exception that at that time it got handed over to USPS whilst in Dallas, TX. And I thought that was a one-off incident...

i have to agree on their shipping.. even though i got my order within the 3 days... can't remember who delivered it.. might have been UPS ...

but after looking at the order and wondering why i had an 8$ charge for shipping ... when it was supposed to be free.. i noticed it was for a 2 day shipping... well... hence i got it 3 days later... and still paid the 8$ ... go figure...

all i can say is it's around the holidays... (at least for me)... and i let it slide...

but i will dble check next time i see something that was "free" shipping and yet still get charged 8$ for 2 day and get it 3 days later...
