I did not insult, demean or disrespect John Simmonds of OEC, I merely asked him a question about his honeycomb grids, which he said fit 7 inch reflectors. He said the grid did not fit 6.5 inch reflectors.
I asked if the reflectors that fit the grid were 7 inches in diameter on the outside of the reflector of if that was the measurement for the inside of the reflector? It seemed like a reasonable question, since I have a 7 inch diamerter reflector that takes a 6.5 inch diameter honeycomb grid.
It would have been simple enough for him to respond, the actual measured diameter of the honeycomb grid I am selling is 6.5 inches, which would have resulted in my buying 12 honeycomb grids from him.
That is how an honorable and reasonable merchant would respond, but that is not what John Simmonds of OEC did, what did he do? HE BLOCKED ME FROM BIDDING ON HIS PRODUCTS!.
What kind of merchant refuses to answer questions about their products? Is this something honest and honorable merchants do?
I have NEVER run into a merchant that refused to answer reasonable and legitimate questions about their products, but John Simmonds of OEC has proven over and over he is not such a reasonable and sensible merchant.
Clearly from the multiple complaints about John Simmonds of OEC, the man is a JERK.
He responds to those who asks questions about his products as a 12 year-old would. I think it is fairly clear the man has a piss poor attitude and at some point I suspect this miserable attitude will come back and bite him in the ass.
I don't know of any business that can thrive and grow without repeat customers.
I just don't understand this man's problem, he operates as though he could not care less about customer service and clearly he does not.
I have contacted dozens of merchants when I have questions about their product and I have NEVER run into anyone who is unwilling to answer questions about the products they sell.
Let alone ban you from buying their products. The man acts like a child!
I have purchased thousands of dollars of products similar to those John Simmonds of OEC offers and very likely would have purchased those products from him had ne not blocked me from doing so.
So.... who wins in this case? He is in business to make money on ebay. His blocking me has cost him thousands of dollars in sales I took elsewhere.
I WIN! The man has some serious emotional issues.
Regardless of how much money he makes short term... not answering questions about your products is a bad business practice.
The man is a JERK, lets not gloss over that fact.
