FWIW ...
I started watching Samsung LN52A650 HDTV prices in mid-November. Newegg had the best price (among legitimate sellers

) at $1928. Amazon wanted $2059.
On Thanksgiving Day, it went out-of-stock at Newegg.
The morning of Black Friday, I noticed that the "used" models at Amazon were now gone, and that the LN46A650 (same specs, smaller screen) was now also out-of-stock at NewEgg. So, I figured I wasn't going to get a better price on my desired TV.
The afternoon of Black Friday, Newegg had it back in stock at the same $1928 price. I bought it.
For laughs, I checked Newegg a few times over the weekend and into today to see if it remained in stock. It didn't. So I got lucky; it's a good thing I ordered when I did (assuming I want the TV now, which I do).
I've since seen some FANTASTIC deals on other TV's. But not the model I want/bought.
The moral of the story: supply and demand
