What's the story with PC Universe?

I am shopping for a Magicolor 7450 color laser printer. The price at PC Universe is extremely tempting: it is about $700 than the nearest competitor:

Comparing Prices at Amazon.com

But PC Universe's rating here is horrible... Any idea what's up with these guys? From reading some of the reviews of dissatisfied customers, it seems that these very low prices suggest refurbished products presented as new???

Any comments? Insights?

Most importantly, if you can recommend a reseller that sells the Magicolor 7450 that would be great. I looked for it at Newegg.com but they don't carry it. Staples doesn't carry it either.

Thanks!

Did you click on your own link and see all the stores that carry it?

Scary.

I examined the first five pages of their reviews and personally, I would not order from them...

Moreover, their retorts to complains seems to be generic generated computer replies.

With their common stock trading at .10, I would be inclined to skip the printer and purchase their stock..

You will become a major shareholder!!!

LOL - of course I saw all the stores that carry it. The problem is picking the right one. Meaning, the right balance between price and reseller reliability.

But never mind, thanks to 'frostbitetwice' I made my decision to stay away from PC Universe (stocks included ).

Tiger Direct is the only store on the list that I've heard of. It's a very popular company...They purchase several of the old CompUSA stores. As I recall, they don't do well with rebates, but other then that, I'd go with them.
