BUYER BEWARE
We were looking for an alarm system for our Hummer and ran across the website for Lessco Electronics/Crankin Car Stereo. We had a few ?, so called and also asked in overnite delivery was available, we were told yes, so placed order online immediately after completed call - this was Thurs 4/23/09.
About 4pm Fri 4/24 we still had not rec'd so placed call to them, we were then informed no overnite, even thou we had paid over $50 for o/n delivery and would not receive until Monday 4/27. At this point, we also got the UPS tracking number, which showed delivery scheduled for Monday 4/27/09. We were told on Friday that he would call UPS to check something (blah, blah, blah) and we would get a call back in 5 minutes - we are still waiting for that call and it is now Mon 4/27, 7:30-ish pm. Fast forward to today (Mon 4/27), when UPS had not arrived by mid afternoon, we again login to UPS Tracking only to discover that he had requested package interception on Fri 4/24 at 4:16pm and for pkg to be ret'd to him (UPS tracking shows this was indeed done on Mon 4/27 7:38 am) - we have placed numerous calls to the business, left several voicemails, sent several emails.....and as of this moment..we have not heard anything from anyone.
Ebay reviews show that we are not the first to experience this type of business practice. Their prices may be good....but.....customer service A-Z is non exisitent and they definitely have questionable business ethics.
Buyer---proceed with caution if you do decide to do business with this company.

I would like to clarify this posting, I am Martin owner of Lessco Electronics.com as you can tell I take pride on my website & my customers. Feedback is very important to me if you look at my ebay ratings I am a Platinum Power Seller with a 99.3% feedback. I baby all my orders, and my customers between the low cost prices and my exceptional customer service & shipping, customer opions always mean the world to me good or bad.
This customer called in at 4:01 (as per my records, which I can gladly show anyone who asks) on a Friday and placed his order which was due to be sent via UPS (Next Day). The customer didn't give me the fee's for Saturday Delivery (Which UPS Charges For), I tried contacting the customer before UPS came to pick the shipment to find out if he intended for this item to ship on Sat and collect the extra funds but to no avail I couldn't get a hold of the customer. By the time I spoke with this customer UPS had come & gone. So the customer had finally called back and when I informed him that UPS had already picked the item up, and it was not going to be shipped Satuday due to him not paying the extra money. The customer got very very nasty & started yelling & screaming demanding to me that I pay the extra shipping, which I could not do for the price I sold him his product for. To make the customer happy, I refunded his money back that minute, I called UPS and had them drop the product back off to me the next weekend. I basically ate all the costs for this & then had to repost the product online.
The fact that I ate the cost, refunded his item w/o any hastles all stemming from a lack of knowledge & communication on his behalf. Shows I go out of my way to keep my customers happy. As I stated before I take pride in all my orders no matter how much the profit or price is. I due hope that most understand that no matter what you will always have people complaining about something, some people are never happy. But that doesn't stop me from trying to please all my customers.

Martin i have a question for you. If your service is so great why are you fraudulently stating that you sell Image Dynamics when you are NOT authorized. Not to mention you are in violation of NUMEROUS copyright and trademark laws.

NOT SATISFIED WITH LESSCO ELECTRONICS
I am rarely so dissatisfied that I will post a bad review. I can't even remember if I ever have. In this case I was motivated enough to seek out a forum in which to do so. I ordered 4 speakers and a subwoofer from Lessco. So far three weeks have gone by and I have only received the speakers (and that was two days ago). I have had to call three times just to get the speakers and now they arrive without the subwoofer! So this time I called and decided to let them know I was upset rather than just remind them that I was STILL waiting. The return response was, "look sir, you need to understand that we are an E-commerce blah, blah, blah, blah." Guess what? I don't care what kind of business you are-if you don't have the product in stock or readily available from a reliable supplier......DON'T OFFER IT FOR SALE! The kicker is that as I am writing this review after having just completed that frustrating call, I have just gotten a call back apologizing and saying they will ship the subwoofer that they have in their own store that they weren't planning on shipping to anybody, but since I am upset they will take care of it for me, now. That's fine, but it should have ended after my first-not third call (if it has in fact ended). Especially if they had the product in hand all along. I still had about $400 more stuff I planned to buy after getting my speakers and subwoofer, but I already ordered it from Sonic Electronix because I just don't feel like I can trust Lessco to get the job done in less than a month and without phone coaching. Not because I think they are conniving, but because they don't seam to have a good handle on their logistics and I have a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully Sonic is better. So far, the total cost was within $10 of Lessco for the same stuff, and they have a very helpful website that automatically suggests the correct wiring harnesses, etc for your model vehicle. A piece of advice to Lessco (like you care), train your employee(s) to handle customers better and just be up front in general if you screwed up. Then, if you gotta eat a couple bucks to fix the problem 100% correct the first time-do it. Don't gamble the small loss of profit just to eat it in the end anyway. Crutchfield makes a fortune by making super high margins which they justify completely on customer service. You could've made some more money from my business, but since you handled it all wrong, I already bought the rest of the stuff for my project from somebody else and will never do business with you again-no matter what your "prices" are. You can have the lowest number on your website, but that doesn't mean anything all by itself. Whatever, you are a grown-up and already have it all figured out. The margin on the $400 bucks you lost from me is probably laughable, but think of all the missed opportunities and how they build up over a long time from all the individual dissatisfied customers added together. Its in your best interest-not mine.

bull
There's plenty of places to get "low, low" prices without being a sucker. If there wasn't, nobody would shop on the internet. Things just get screwed up sometimes. Lessco is probably fine, I was just that one in a hundred that ended up unhappy. In fact, If my previous review wasn't posted by me and I came across it doing research,I would pobaby still order from them (hypothetically speaking) because their ebay rating is so good. The next 75 people that order from them will probably have a good experience. Hell, I wouldn't have even posted my bad review except the way I was spoken to on the phone. When you screw up - you take the **** because you have it coming, and you let it motivate you to rectify the problem. In fact, I wish the best to lessco. I just won't buy from them again.

A buyer, however, is more than likely to be scammed by a low price offer than a high priced one...
And for those consumers, who simply shop by price and nothing more, will in due time pay the price...
It is a major tool used by the Bait & Switch operators, to lure victims to their websites...
BTW, we offer prices 50% lower than anyone on the Internet and promise customers 100% that we will never deliver the order...
We are still waiting for the first order....
