ISO a RadioShack alternative

I have been looking for an AC Adapter with a 12v DC 1000ma output and I realized that about the only place I know where to look online that I trust is RadioShack. What other general electronic parts houses have things like AC adapters, piezos and connectors....stuff you would need if your building your own hardware. Any suggestions?

Thank you folks. You guys are the best! I love that Parts Express place. I'm a part time drummer/sound guy and I just about died when I saw all that cool stuff. Made me wanna go outside and build some speaker cabinets for the band.
