Pricegrabber unquestionably removed a negative review for Dbuys.com

I have recently purchased a Pioneer receiver from Dbuys.com. Unfortunatly after making the purchase I have read MANY negative reviews on Dbuys. Since my purchase date I have been looking daily for new reviews on Dbuys.com. Today, I looked this morning on pricegrabber.com. What caught my eye was a new negative review on Dbuys. The reason it caught my eye was the negative review was on the exact receiver I purchased. The date of the post was yesturday. The person received a used opened product and was obviously not happy, and rightly so. 2 hours later the post has been removed. I e-mailed pricegrabber to inform them they have been caught. I also informed them I was going to let others know what I have seen. And, lastly I informed them that if my product comes in the same condition as the original posters and I post a negative review and it is removed. I am going to post to MANY websites and explain this situation. If they are removing negative posts, they are causing many people to be scammed and sould be held responsible for fraud. Please let me know if you have seen the same thing.

I vote you wait and see how YOUR Pioneer receiver works before getting all worked up over possibly Nothing.

I will admit, I may be jumping the gun. I was just shocked that it was removed. But, all of the negative feedback for dbuys, has fueled my concern.

Couple of things to keep in mind.

1) Dbuys.com isn't the only site to remove negatives....That's why one looks at reviews with a grain of salt.

2) Unhappy people are more likely to write reviews then happy people. That's why one looks at reviews with a grain of salt.

Playing devil's advocate: there may be extenuating reasons why the negative reviews were removed, if they were removed, that you're not aware of.

For example, all ResellerRatings' reviews are subject to compliance with the 16 policies listed on our terms of use page. If any of those policies are violated, the review can be removed.

Not sure what happened to this guy and this thread, but I wanted to post my own experience so people can see. I had a horrendous experience with dbuys where they tried to tack on $200 in shipping insurance and refused to give me a shipping expectation. After 4 business days and the rep couldn't tell me when it was going to ship, I cancelled. When I placed a negative review on pricegrabber, it never even made the list.
