Sold and shipped something via Amazon BUT...

...it appeared that for some apparent reason the buyer was not reachable so the goods were shipped BACK to me and I was forced to refund him the purchase since he was not reachable in spite of my efforts trying to ensure he receives the goods. URGH!!!

Always make sure that you are establishing contact with your buyer after the sale is made to ensure that the goods ARRIVE at the point where the buyer hails from. Always use some sort of delivery confirm service. Refund with initiative if the buyer does not respond.

Be careful where the buyer originates from because there are times when the package will not be reachable to the sender. I had to refund the buyer with initiative after finding out that the purchase was UNCLAIMED.

I'll never make that mistake again...

you are very correct.. as I am on the "opposite" side of this type of transaction, except it is from E-Bay ...

A Blackberry phone was purchased 12 days ago... (WED), he said it was shipped the following (Thurs.) , (NO Delivery Confirmation # given to me or how he even shipped it). I have yet to receive it .. (supposed to have been shipped VIA USPS Priority 2-3 day in his E-bay description).
Now this is a "Mass" E-bay buyer/seller.. so i guess evaluations aren't to worrisome for them as i have left a neg and asked for a refund per E-Bay and also through PayPal.
I have no idea if it was even shipped, how it was shipped , and if it was shipped... Where did it arrive...?? And I think, neither do they...!!

When I ship ANYTHING, I have a DC# everytime, so I can track when the package arrives and where.

it's under PayPal Review... supposably they refunded the money but It's pending until it clears... (not sure what that means) .. will give it a few days to go through PayPal's process...

If your refund is pending, the money should clear into your account in about 4-5 business days. At least this has been my experience with PayPal refunds. YMMV
