Four months ago, I purchased a book from indoo.com through the abebooks web site. I had to pay in advance. Two weeks later, I received a completely different book. I sent them an e-mail asking about what I should do. They replied me after a week to ship the book back to them. I did that, sent them an e-mail two weeks later, but they claimed that they did not receive the book. They said that they would check with their warehouse and let me know, but I doubt they did that. Since then, they have not replied to any of my e-mails. This is not what you expect from professionals when you have payed ~$200 for your book.

The BBB report shows a 'unsatisfactory rating' due to answered complaints. This company has not responded to 5 out of 6 BBB complaints. You can file a complaint at newjersey.bbb.org, but I don't believe it will have much affect.

How did you pay? If by CC then contact them about doing a charge-back.

Just saw that this was 4 months ago. Unlikely you can do a charge-back still, won't hurt to check through.

I payed through the abebooks web site. Unfortunately, you pay just when you order (not like amazon that you pay when your order is shipped), and I cannot request my money back now. I could request a refund only one month after the initial order, which was already gone when they decided to tell me that they did not receive the wrong book I shipped back to them.

I wanted to thank you for posting your message so others can view it. I just learned a very valuable lesson on ebay, after puchasing several items from this "business". I have yet to receive any of the items. It has been close to a month from the time I actually placed the order. I have taken steps to try and get my money back, but I am posting this so others will also see. It is not an isolated case, and doing nothing lets this company get away with what they are doing. In the future I will research a company on BBB, and the internet before I buy from them, even on ebay. It is too easy to buy things online, and do we want our credit card information in the hands of people like this? Thank God for Pay Pal........I think anyway. We will see how it all works out.

Hey guys, I made an account just so I can post here to add to this thread about indoo.com. I recently bought a book from these clowns on Sept9th, they didn't ship until the 16th. I emailed them, and after a day they responded. "The arrival expectation is 7 to 14 business days. In some cases, mail sent Special Standard rate may take 21 business days or longer to arrive."

So now I am one week + into my course without a book.

Mind you, I only ordered from them because the advertisement said that they ship from NJ, which is exactly where I live. So naturally I figured I would get it fast.. man was I wrong.

Anyway, just a warning to anyone who is thinking about ordering from them, if you care how long it takes for you to get your item DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

Clearly they do not know how to do business properly.
