Atlex.com / Atlantic Exchange - Reliable?

Hi, this is my first time posting on these forums, but I've been coming to resellerratings.com for a long time trying to figure out who's naughty and who's nice. I prefer to do my shopping online since it's cheaper and easier to compare vendors. I usually buy from Newegg and Amazon, but they don't always have what I need.

Anyway, I'm looking to purchase an X-Rite i1Display LT colorimeter. I've seen plenty of places carry it at retail price ($169.99), but some of the smaller shops, as it were, sell it a little bit cheaper (~$130 + S/H). One such online store I've managed to find is atlex.com ([Atl]antic [Ex]change). I've looked up their feedback page here and it has all positive reviews save one, which happens to be the longest one. The fact that there are only ten reviews worries me. I've checked out their website and it seems to be pretty legitimate. They're based out of Florida (not one of those Brooklyn scammers). Has anyone had any dealings with them? Is there a way to verify their legitimacy?

Nevermind. It looks like J&R carries this as well, for an even lower price. I guess I should have checked there first. They have incredible prices.

If anyone did happen to do a little bit of research, then please let me know what you found out concerning this e-tailer. Thanks.

As for Atlex.com, I cannot locate a BBB report for them. I did put the address into 'Google Earth' and can say that the picture on their 'About Us' page does not appear to be the building located at 10405 NW 37th Terrace, Miami, Florida 33178.



That's NW 37th terrace, left to right. They should be the building next to the intersection, bottom part of the street. Might be the next building to the left. See map in the Whitepages.com link.

Just saw this thread and thought I could clarify some things.

ATLEX.COM is the website of Atlantic Exchange Inc. ATLEX.COM and ALTEX.COM are two different companies and are not related in any way.

The Google Earth satellite photo correctly shows our building. The two long buildings in the photo each contain 12 seperate office/warehouses units. We are located in the top row (north side of 37th Terrace) and are the far right unit on the end that faces the golf course. We purchased this 11,454 sqft building in 2003.

If you like, it can be verified that Atlantic Exchange Inc owns this unit at the Miami tax collectors website http://www.miamidade.gov/pa/property_search.asp
