Fish, I am sure you will be satisfied completely...

Master nomaxim, Crutchfield is a first class company, worth due consideration, when ordering online....

I hope so guys. Nomaxim, I already have left a positive rating there and will amend it to be 100% satisified once the whole return process is complete. I have been given a Cust Serv. persons name and number. They assured me that they will make sure I get 100% of my money back! Got that recorded also.

Final Update: I sent the TV back Friday Dec 14th. They got the TV on Friday the 21st. I called Dec. 27th to get an update. I knew with Christmas it would probably take a little longer than three days to get my refund. Not counting the weekend or christmas, it took two business days for issue. I recieved a full refund including shipping in my account yesterday. I have since purchased a LG hdtv at a local store so i don't have to worry if it goes bad again. I must say that I have been extremely impressed with the level of service I have recieved. I spoke to customer service on 4 different occasions and was extremely please with the level of service I recieved there. I would do business with again. In their call center in salt lake city utah, there were over 600 reps. It took less than a minute to get through to a person every time I called. They did everything they said they would.

Many Liquidators buy up goods out of Bankruptcy court or from those who do.
Regardless of the status of the Company that manufactured the TV, you should get a new one or a refund.

Was their any promise of of a Warentee by Manuafcturer?

DOOOOG

PS. I never had any problem with OS that they didn't immediately rectify.
One word of caution though: some items are sold directly through OS, but others are "dropped shipped" from third-parties (who in this case may have bought the merchandise out of BC).This is not uncommon with electronics stuff.
In any event, you bought it through OS, be polite and ask for a new and working model. If none is available --you should ask for a credit back to your Credit card, rather than a store credit for a sum like this.
If a new replacement is available and you decline, they may hit you with a 15% Restocking fee --not uncommon in electronics.
My suggestion, read their RETURN POLICY closely.

And as always, it best to do so before you buy !

I think it will work out alright.

x2gen wasn't out of business when I purchased tv, but it is possible Overstock knew of the impending doom and bought their stock. They did sell the tv's for a few months before they went out of business. I am just glad I was refunded 100% of my purchase price and not charged for return shipping nor restocking since the item became defective within 30 days of purchase.
