SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

Do not buy from this website! Everything you have read or will read about this outfit is true! I attempted to buy two sony digital cameras for an "amazing" price and I received the confirmation email to call the company and confirm my order. I did so, and was intensely pressured to buy an extended life battery for 99.99! I refused, and the man immediately said he was going to cancel my order! I was shocked and asked to speak to the manager or owner, and he said that HE WAS THE OWNER! I then said this was ridiculous and he became very angry with me. I then asked for a confirmation for my cancellation, and he said he had already emailed that to me. I said thank you and hung up the phone, then check my email to see the cancelled order emails... then called my bank and cancelled my credit card immediately! I've never spoken to someone so rude in my life that was trying to sell a product or service. These people or persons are a SCAM! STAY AWAY FROM TECHONDIGITAL.COM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not one to speak bad of a business but this place is really a SCAM!!! They will lure you in w/a good price & then try to sell you things at a very over priced rate. If you don't buy those things, they will cancel your order & say they are out of stock. The reality is that they are not out of stock if you buy these over priced 'extras'.

When I didn't buy anything extra, just as I said, they cancelled the order & said they were out of stock. When I called them up, annonomously, they had them in stock until I wouldn't order the extras. Then they said it was only available as a package deal.

I am very glad that I decided to do a last-minute complaint check on this website before placing my order. I was a little skeptical, so I decided I'd do a quick google search. Thank you guys so much for the info!

Stay away from them. They offer good prices but then try to sell you things you don't need at inflated prices. If you complain or balk, you will have difficulty getting your order. Be careful, because you don't know you are buying from them until you get an e-mail since they have a different name on some of the bargain sites.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS Site.
To good to be true. I'm only going to state the facts, you make the call.
I ordered a garmin GPS from them.
I recieved an email that they needed to talk to me.
I called them to see what's up.
They said I didn't order a SD card with my GPS and I needed one.
I told them I have several already, I don't want one. (there price was way high.)
I didn't hear anything from them for a week and I called them to see what's up.
They told me It was now on back order and it would be at least 2 months till I get it.
I told them it said in stock and ship right away when I ordered it and they said it was a mistake.
I cancelled the order and I sent an email stating this.
I emailed them several times to remove my account information from their site and called them to do this also.
This started on DEC 18 or so. It is still in their computer today 1/20/09
My card security # is also shown.
ON 1/12/09 MY CREDIT CARD was compromised. I used this card for years and never a problem.
You be the judge...!!!

This morning I ordered an 18x50 canon binocular from Techondigital. Their price was lowest but after all the add ons the price was equal to some other sites so I bought anyway. But there was no email or confirmation number given. I called back and same guy answered. He said I will receive email when binocular is shipped. Tonight I found your web site and saw all the complaints. I checked my credit card and it has been charged the $1,188 price. I can't cancel unless they don't send anything and even if they send the wrong product I must return it and ask for the correct one. So the lesson is the best deal may not be the best deal. Even if all goes fine I hate the uncertainty of dealing with what looks like crooks. I don't order much on line and felt uneasy. My gut instincts were right. Also I found he lied about lens covers value but too late.

Bad, bad company. As described by other posts, quoted me a price on digital camera, I ordered, they called several days later trying to sell me a way over priced memory card. I refused & week went by, no camera. Called to find that "camera is out of stock". No notice sent to me, no apologies, just rude support desk. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CLOWNS !!!!

I have read hundreds of post similar to yours and was myself a victim of this SCAM. However, I reported them to the New York Attorney General, Internet Fraud Section. Through the AG's office, techondigital offered me the opportunity to purchase the item at the originally advertised price (of course I wanted to have nothing to do with them). My point is, if you all, and there are many, just get mad and do nothing this company will continue to scam people. Report them to the NY Attorney General, They will only act when and if they get enough complaints.

You can google "New York Attorney General" and submit your complaint online.

Techondigital-don't order from these creeps!
I bought a pair of binoculars from techondigital by phone with a promissed delivery today, Friday Jan. 30, 2009. Immediatly my credit card was charged for about $1,200 the agreed price. I paid extra for deliver in two days from shipment time. Shipment was suppose to be within 48 hours of my order. So I should have received the shipment within five days of the order date. I never received an email confirmation nor a confirmation number by phone. Six working days later UPS notifies me of a pending shipment with a tracking number. But no package has been received by UPS from the shipper seven full working days from the order date. Because of so many complaints about this company-that I only learned about after ordering-I cancelled the transaction and credit card. My binoculars were suppose to arrive today for use this week end. I was promised they would be delivered today. Techondigital should have their visa/mastercard status revoked. I called these guys four days ago and was promissed the binoculars would be here today. Thank you for warning me about these #%&*
