Fotoconnection.com - avoid it like the plague!
I just went through the worst online shopping experience I've ever had. Lured by the low price, I placed my order online shortly thereafter received an e-mail urging me to speak to one of their "account reps" in order to complete the order (very strange, I thought). Indeed, three transfers later, I was connected to a fast-talking, rude snake-oil salesman to tried to upsell me a bunch of things. When I turned them down he downright hung up on me mid-sentence.
Three weeks later, I still hadn't received my camera. After two more phone calls, I was e-mailed a tracking number that didn't correspond to any of the shippers they claimed they used. Finally tried it on FedEx and it showed that shipment had been delivered to someone in Brooklyn (I'm in Miami!). Two more calls to a "manager" named Peter who promised he'd get to the bottom of it and one call to some guy named Reggie who promised he'd call me back proved completely useless. Did I mention that I called them last Tuesday at 5pm and all I got was a recording saying they were closed (posted hours were until 9 pm)?
I placed the order on 10/7 and just received my camera (11/2). You draw your own conclusions. My advice: spend the extra $30 and go with a reputable dealer. These people are a joke. Never again!
