Still here

I never was in charge of anything but the IT department, but I'm definitely still at Area Circulation.

You may have spoken with a rep from a company that we no longer do business with. We have been auditing our partners and made some changes to make sure our image correctly matched our core values.

Oh yes, when placing an order for magazines you are entered into a $100,000 drawing for cash and a Ford Hibread...

When I ask then if their parent company was Area Circulation, the rep said they no longer work for that company and that the new owner is WorldWide Preferred Publication, Redondo Beach, Calif (see attachment)..

Apparently, Mr Bellows, is no longer in charge..It is interesting how quick ownership was changed..

BTW, I called the number of WorldWide Prefer Publisher and the number was disconnected...

phone queue

My apologies for not getting your name out of the call queue properly.

We've taken steps to prevent this from happening.

Recent system changes have given us some logistical problems, and some of our customers were called repeatedly. We really are sorry about that.

If you have any further problems please write to me at accountant@areacirculation.net. I've resolved a number of web related complaints and problems this way.

Sincerely,

They were supposed to cancel it and then a month later I get a call from their billing department telling me that i never did. And that i need to pay up at least 65 right away. I told them no way. We're going through bankruptcy, had a car repossesed, several hospitalizations (including my infant) and they think we can afford to pay them. When i had talked to them before it was "we understand, don't worry it's cancelled, we are taking a hit, but if you can't do it you can't do it." This has been July through now. They are still calling!! I can't pay them. Yes, we are starting to get straightened back out, but we also have another little bundle to welcome in April. The last person I spoke to was rude and not understanding at all! Can they legally come after me for this (if so, I'll include them in our bankruptcy filing, and they will still get nothing). I just don't know what to do and am so sick of these people. The offer sounded good up front, but they just keep adding on more and more crap all the time.

delayed response

Sorry, I've been too busy to be on the web lately.

The other company is in Virginia Beach also, but for legal reasons I can't give you their name, I'm sorry...

You are safe even though the call wasn't completed.

Do I just drop it? What would be the business practice for your company? If the call was not fully completed, would you consider a "partial" phone agreement sufficient?

Surpise...

No, that was one of the companies we stopped doing business with after we audited customer service and satisfaction.

We set up core values and restated our policies to all of our affiliates, and we stopped doing business with any that were not able to meet our requirements.

Contact information missing

The fact that you are not willing to give us your name and your laywers contact information speaks for itself.

If you read my letter carefully you will discover there was no legal threat, but a desire to speak with a 3rd party that you would listen to, so you could get an understanding of the damage your libel caused.

I assumed once you understood how you hurt innocent people and were legally responsible for financial damages caused by your comments, you would retract them and apologize.

But since you are unwilling to admit you were in error, and refuse to give us contact information, I can only assume you know you are legally responsible and are afraid you will be sued if you did.

I also understand that your personality is such that anything I say will be mocked, and therefore it's a waste of time to talk to you further.

I'm hoping at this point everyone can see that you are not a person to be taken seriously.

I'm sorry to have to even speak like this to another human being, but in some cases it can't be avoided.

If Area Circulation does not offer the diamond watch, then they should go after the people at that number that is posing as Area Circulation and stop the funny arm chair legal threats on the Interweb.

It seems Area Circulation and his sock puppets can't stop posting here. I guess they have an unusual attraction for my Avatar.

Here is a recording of the phone call to 309-589-0867. It has echo's in it unfortunately, but it sort of makes it funnier.

Thanks

No new affiliates, just stopped working with some that didn't live up to our standards.

I actually do appreciate this

While for obvious reasons I can't take you seriously, I do appreciate the information you provide. It allows me to plug holes, fix problems, and make sure our public reputation isn't ruined by other companies or misunderstandings.

Listened to the call

I listened to enough of the call to discover this was not from our company.

Peter is simply not a reliable source of information.

Back in the day when the internet first started, we had a name for people like this. We called them 'trolls', because they used the internet for their own personal amusement, and trolled around for people (fish) to see what kind of reaction they could get from them.

In this case I'm having to respond because our company is being affected, and Peter is in hiding from our legal representation (justly so).

But it's nearly Christmas, so I hope everyone has a great holiday and new year!
