Punks... I'm installing fedora as my OS for the moment, the error message went away after I took the "Graphics Integrated Motherboard" cd out, that must have been the source of the error message, the CD drive must be the first boot on it. It's strange though, I looked at microcenter magazine at graphics cards and there are 8600's w/o the SLI bridge, just like mine, and I'm inclined to believe that they are 8600's because I took them out to look at them and "8600GT" is engraved on the card. Who knows, I wouldn't buy from Ibuypower again. Newegg seemed the way to go, I'm just a cheap-ass.
ZEON!!! I would go 100% from newegg.com, cyberpowerpc is the same site as ibuypower and they're both extremely unreliable. This situation is getting on my nerves.

There are a few ways of identifying the cards. You could check the markings on the memory chips on the cards,if they're marked DDR2,they're 8500's.DDR3,they're 8600's. Not familar with Fedora 7,but with XP,the advanced settings screen for display properties should show what they are,or a stand alone program like Rivatuner. It's very odd,the cards themselves are identical to a 8500,but the heatsink and fan are exactly the same as the ones used on the 7800's.

Don't crap yourself. A lot of the stories you'll hear are the worst of the bunch. I got a computer from ibuypower (virtually and most probably the same exact site run by the same exact half-assed company) and the only problem it doesn't have to do with the computer, it has to do with me being an idiot about Windows. The computer will most likely take a long time to come, that part is true, with decent customer service, as long as you're not an ******* on the phone, and it will probably come put together shoddy as hell. All these things are obsolete due to the good prices that are not possible to find anywhere else besides cyberpower or ibuypower. Stick with your oder, who knows it might come PURRFECT.

It's kind of a sad comment on the state of the computer building industry that people consider it "amazing" when a system arrives in good working order. Please understand that it's CyberPower's responsibility to deliver a fully working system to you.I wouldn't settle for anything less, and if there's problems, you or your friends shouldn't have to fix them,it's your right to return it and demand it be fixed.I'd also have one of your friends check out the inside of the system to make sure the parts you ordered are what was installed,it's not beyond builders like CyberPower to substitute cheaper components.I wish you luck.

Looks like a fairly simple configuration, they should be able to handle it.I'd be worried if you went with the higher end 680i motherboard, they're still a bit buggy, but the 650i is a less complicated board. If you do add a second card later for SLI though, you may want a bigger power supply.
