Looks like my cards are definatley not SLI ready, I might sell them and get an 8800 gts. I would SLI them if I could, but there is no connection bridge spot on them.

The dual video chip I know about,it's how you enable SLI on the board itself. In the position it's in now,SLI on your board is disabled,it's set that way by default. In order to enable it,you have to snap out the chip and put it back in so the words "dual video cards" are where "single video card" are positioned now.The cards themselves don't resemble any 8600 I've seen. Are you sure they're 512 MB's?They're marked 8600GT,which are 256 MB's,it's the 8600 GTS that are 512.They seem more like an 8400,which as far as I can find out are the only 8000 series cards that aren't SLI capable. Here's a picture of the 8600 512MB model. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowIm...-TR+Video+Card
As you can see,it's marked "8600 GTS".The notch on the top left end is where the bridge connects to.

3. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811208021
(I'm leaning towards number 2, I'm digging the blue/black colors and the blue LEDs. I'll probably added a couple extra fans to it.)
So there's my list. How's it look?
If everything looks alright, I'll go ahead and place my order tonight. I'd like to get this thing shipped ASAP so I can get it put together before I get caught without a computer when a big class project is due for college.
Er... And can someone happen to point me to a drive that can burn CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW and has a CD-ROM/DVD-ROM? I can't seem to find one on Newegg. Heck, I haven't find a CD-RW/DVD-RW anywhere on Newegg.
If not, I might just have to get that at Fry's. I saw some there...

The hard drives don't seem to be the source of my error message, I unplugged both of them and put in an old one that has windows xp home but the error message still comes up:
1. HD System Type-(00)
FreeDOS kernel version 1.1.35w (Build 2035w-UNSTABLE, Nov 30 2005)
Kernel compatibility 7.10 - WATCOMC - FAT32 support

C: HD1, Pri[ 1], CHS= 0-1-1, start= 0MB, size= 31MB
d: HD2, Pri[ 1], CHS= 0-1-1, start= 0MB, size= 32247MB
Bad or missing Command Interpreter
Enter the full shell command line:
command.com /P /E:256
^that's the message I get. The C:31MB is the old harddrive. Anything I type after the "bad or missing" part just repeats the message.
>>>Zeon, you're comp looks good, although I still support a quad core CPU, dual is fine. I'll take a look at the cases later. The one thing to keep in mind when buying them is air flow, you want the biggest case with the most QUIET fans possible. (Loud fans are annoying, I'm sitting in front of my computer with the error message up and i can't hear myself type cause the fans are so loud :-P)

About those video cards,I checked around some forums and the general opinion is that what you have are actually 8500's with 8600 heatsink fans installed. If you look at a 8500,it looks the same as your cards with a different heatsink. It also doesn't have the notch for the SLI bridge because it can run in SLI without a connector.

If it is an altered 8500,then it is SLI ready, you'd just have to enable SLI on the motherboard by repositioning the video chip. But if it is an 8500 with an 8600 heatsink and fan, then they've given you a cheaper, less powerful card than what you ordered.
