ibuypower pressing me over ratings here

have any of you been "bugged" by retail companies about your review of them on this site?

i have been bugged by one of the guys at ibuypower in like 4 emails so far about making sure i check and change my review

and he even sent me another email fussing about it basically

well excuse me but i have a right to free speach. they dont own this site.
and i think i will contact the owners of this site to inform them of that.

ugh.

ibuypower is so two faced. first they come off as this nice great company that will get you a good deal on a PC ...have "good support" and all

but the truth of the matter is apparently the people who actually put the PCs together and test them dont know what they are doing

my computer came with a chipped power supply connector to the hard drive that i had to find another connector to the PSU and reconnect it JUST to get the computer to boot

THEN when i got it to actually run found the darn graphics card wasnt getting enough power and kept freezing the system. id actually return it for a repair but after reading reviews about how shabby there repair process is apparently no way.

one poor woman had to take the computer to best buy's geek squad just to figure out what was wrong with it!

personally id say to anyone who is being bugged by companies to "change there reseller rating" review to say "bite me" and make the review even worse :-p

they honestly care more about not having people saying bad things about them how they really are as a company.

:-/

With a rating of only 6.72,I can see why they're using such tactics, which I'm sure RR doesn't approve of.I've always put iBUYPOWER in the same group as CyberPower,i.e. - companies I'd never buy a computer from.A PC isn't something that can just be slapped together, more so than just about anything electronic, quality workmanship and support is vital,I can't say their ratings indicate either is their strong point.

I wouldn't trust IBuyPower for anything...

If you look at their customer testimonies, they only feature the good ones. I was looking for a PC at the time, and I looked through many forums, and I never saw 1 good rating about them.

Also I was putting a PC together from the site. What I found was that you could create a computer with conflicting components without any warnings. Is that something they should allow?

agreed very similar to cyberpowerpc, one and the same? Who knows, but that is my opinion. I will avoid either of them.

My father in law, who is an experienced computer builder, ordered a system from iBUYPOWER. It was well built and functions perfectly. Their customer service was great. They notified him of a slight problem with the build, but it was resolved without a delay in shipping time.

I guess even cyberpowerpc does the right thing every know and then. But I would never even attempt to use them again after my dealings with them. All they needed to do was SOUND like they cared when I called them.
