Pixed Off is infamous around these parts
I'm an Idiot, I shopped with Pixmania!

From my experience and what I’ve discovered about this Pixmania Company I strongly advise everybody to stay well clear of them if your purchasing high value goods. I paid £620.00 for a home cinema system, and it was supposed to be delivered in 2-3 days. Unfortunately for me, I'm still waiting for it after 24 days, and after much time spent waiting in the house and phoning Pixmania only to receive more broken promises of supervisors coming back to me and talking to people without names of faces.

I've spent hours on their expensive phone line, and sent many emails in vain, because all they send out is a standard format reply. They hide behind the excuse of the goods being lost by the shipping company, and in my case that was parcelforce. I contacted parcelforce and after their internal checks they came back to me to assure me that they had never received anything from Pixmania on or near the date that Pixmania claimed the goods were shipped.

Furthermore, I believe that Pixmania is guilty of sharp practice in that they have add-ons on their web site and you will be tricked into paying more money if you don't un-check the Zen thing with Pixmania loyalty card etc. Loyalty card, what a laugh, I'll never darken their doorstep again, and for me it's back to the high street and to dealers that I can trust, contact, and put a face to when things go wrong. Sure I might pay a bit extra, but from this horror experience with Pixmania, it’s them who have turned out expensive in terms of the time I’ve spent trying to organise and receive delivery of my goods. And I've still to find out the cost of time spent waiting to speak to a customer service rep on their premium rate telephone line!

So when it comes to buying high value goods, its goodbye to the internet, and hello again to the honest broker in the high street. As for Pixmania, MY ADVICE TO EVERYBODY IS TO GIVE THEM A VERY WIDE BERTH!

frostbitetwice is on a distinguished road
Wellcome to RR, Pixed Off.

Shoppers should use extreme caution when spending money on the internet. It is much easier to become a vic on the net vs your local retailer.
