Don't bother with PriceGuideNetwork.com
PriceGuideNetwork.com had an awesome price on some laptop memory that I wanted – significantly lower than another company’s price. I placed an order over the weekend and called the company the next week to confirm my order. Good luck trying to get anyone on the phone! After being on hold for awhile their phone system automatically sent me to voicemail, so I left a message. No one called back so I tried again. Finally, I got a hold of a real person. The guy was really nice and apologized for an issue we were having with my credit card (I got a new one in the mail right at this time and the number changed, so the original attempt to charge my card failed). The guy said he would speak with a manager and try to get back to me within two hours. If he couldn’t get back to me before I left for the day, he said he would leave a message instead. At least four business days went by and no one ever called back, so I tried to call the company for the third time. By this time I had placed the order over a week ago. I tried multiple times, but could never get a hold of a real person so I left another message on their voicemail. Once again, days went by and they never called me back! Each time I tried to call them, I could not get a hold of a real person, only their voicemail. In the end I canceled my order because my laptop arrived and I could not use it without the proper amount of RAM. I ended up ordering from Newegg.com and they got me my memory before the end of the week without any hassle! My summary: don’t bother with this company. They claim to have low prices, but then you can never get the product and no one will get back to you if you have any problems. I consider it a blessing that my credit card number changed because I am afraid they would have charged me and then not sent me any memory. I found out that the company that makes the memory has been out-of-stock for a long time and that they were not expecting any shipments in for weeks. Who knows how long it would have taken to get the memory from PriceGuideNetwork.com!
