About USPS's delivery

I have ordered from UPS before and they left packages at the door without even ringing the bell. Would USPS do the same? I am kinda hoping it would cause my grandma will be home and she doesn't speak english so she doesn't open the door. Anyways, Its through express mail international, and the package is enroute, and I dont see an expected delivery time... Anyways, so yeah, would they leave it at the door or take it back with them to the post office if no one opens the door?

Welcome to RR, ohsosane!

I do not know the company's policy, however, both UPS and Federal have left items and did not ring. Remember most new homes have no ringer. The postman always rings twice.

The number is called a "delivery confirmation" number for a reason. It's not so good as a tracking number. In fact, most times it's fairly useless as such. But you will definitely know when the package arrives.

In most instances, USPS will leave the package at the door unless a signature is required for delivery.

In the past UPS would leave the product next door and ax the person to deliver to you.
