Waiting for 4 months for my refund from Mod-Chip.com!!!!

Hi,
Just thought Id let any unsuspecting customer know about Mod-Chip.com.
I know they have a high rating among the customers that have used it but IF you have a problem you may end up like me.
I ordered a modded PSP from them on April 28 2007. I sent payment by postal money order via express mail. The day after I sent the money they emailed me stating that the item was out of stock. The support person I talked to via email told me it has been out of stock for quite some time and the website should have been updated. If you have been on their(or most other commercial) site you know that you CANNOT order an item that is out of stock, the software just wont let the deal go through. So I ordered an item that was out of stock, shouldnt be a big deal, a disappointment maybe but not a big deal. I asked them to send me my money back. Seemed like the natural thing to do in that situation. This was almost two weeks after I received notice that the item was not in stock. They emailed me back saying they hadnt received my payment yet but when they do they will refund it. I had sent it overnight so I went to USPS site and did a delivery confirmation search and found that indeed they did receive the payment the next day after I sent it and it was signed for by someone named Stokes. I email them back with this information and hear nothing for over a week and then they say they will look into it. Again a long wait ensues then another promise to send me my money back WHEN THEY RECEIVE IT! "WHAT?!"
To make this long and tedious story a bit shorter, it is now the end of JULY and I still have not gotten my money back! I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and that seems to have petered out because they claim to have sent it back. Now I dont know about you but when someone has had a bad experience with my business I go out of my way to make things right and if I was supposed to send them their money back I would send it with delivery confirmation to be sure they got it. So I guess their new line will be "the check is in the mail" and it has been for a month and a half.
These people have NEVER made the slightest noise that could be construed as even a half assed apology. They have not done a thing to try to ease my discomfort with this situation and most of all...they have STOLEN my money.
there is not other description for it at this point.
I hope this will make some of you think twice about dealing with this company.

Sorry about your bad experience with mod-chip.com. You might want to go ahead a post a review for the company in the review section of the ResellerRatings website. Just make sure that you follow all of their policies so that your review will be posted. I did notice that mod-chip.com does respond to customers that have posted bad experiences, so you might get some recourse by posting a review.

Sorry about your terrible experience with Mod-Chips. Rather shocking for a company with such a high rating. One thing I did find horrible was their contact info which in itself was hard to find and when one did locate it, all it contain was an email address. Yes, no telephone number, no address, not even a company name. This is not up to my standards and hence I would do no business with them.

Kat, I would certainly contact the BBB again and tell them they lied and never issued you a refund. This will result in a bad mark for Mod-Clip.com!!!!

I got bad mood because of them too.
I tried to buy something with their Best Price Guarantee thing, where they say "At MOD-CHIP.com you will never pay more - guaranteed!", but they said no, because it's price is too low for them.
And someone else tried it too and ordered 2 or 3 of it and they said it's okay...
I wonder how they got so many positive reviews.

Recently I heard of nothing but complaints about MODCHIP (EDIT...oops confused it with modchipstore.com, SORRY) on this forum, especially about out of stocks and refunds.

I was going to place an order with them back in april as well, but like frost said, they had no "real" contacts. I had no idea where they are delivering from. Instead I ordered from

Sounds like an adult site but everything checked out on RR.
