Globalmediapro
I did not have a good experience with this store and they threatened to sue me if I wrote about the facts. I have withdrawn my comments.

Scam Store...
Well, just looking at their site, I would immediately be suspect of them. Right on the top of their page they state that payment is via bank transfer. That's a huge flag right there. Never pay via bank transfer/Western Union. You will never see your money again and you will not see your product either.
Whois on Globalmediapro shows the following: Quote:
Registrant:
Globalmediapro Limited
61 Priestley Drive
Bucklands Beach
Auckland 1704
NZ
Domain Name: GLOBALMEDIAPRO.COM
Administrative Contact:
IGOR, PETCHORINE webmaster@GLOBALMEDIAPRO.COM
GLOBALMEDIAPRO LTD
61 Priestley Drive
Auckland
NZ
1005
NZL
+64 21 82 10 49 fax: +64 93 53 13 44
Technical Contact:
Network Solutions, LLC. customerservice@networksolutions.com
13861 Sunrise Valley Drive
Herndon, VA 20171
US
1-888-642-9675 fax: 571-434-4620
Record expires on 03-Aug-2010.
Record created on 03-Aug-2000.
Database last updated on 21-Jul-2007 22:59:49 EDT.
| The company is registered out of New Zealand, which is infamous for its bank transfer/Western Union scam sites. Although the country code is correct for the phone number for the administrative contact, the city code is incorrect for Auckland.
The only thing interesting is that they have a 10 year registration of their domain.

Per http://www.nzpost.co.nz/Cultures/en-...ostCodeFinder/ the correct address should be; Quote:
61 Priestley Drive
Bucklands Beach
Manukau 2014
| That site also says that there is no postal codes 1005 or 1704 in NZ. As The Merg pointed out the country calling code is correct, however the number, +64 21 82 10 49, comes back with numberingplans.com as a cell phone; Quote:
Information on phone number range +64 218XXXXX(X)
Number billable as mobile number
Country or destination New Zealand
City or exchange location
Original network provider* Vodafone (GSM)
| As to payment methods, http://globalmediapro.com/content/Wh...entDoYouAccept, Quote:
What forms of payment do you accept?
* We accept: bank transfers
o Customers in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Sweden and the United Kingdom can pay our local accounts.
o Customers in the Eurozone can economically pay our IBAN accounts.
* company, personal and bank cheques by post in the UK (please allow for clearance delay)
* Giro payments in many countries
* BACS and CHAPS in the UK
* cash at post offices in Australia
When you enter an order or quotation online we send you details of all the Payment Options for your country and currency.
| NOTE on the postal codes. Per this wikipedia.org article New Zealand introduced a new postal code system in JUN2006. Quote: |
A new postcode system was introduced in June 2006. Unlike the previous system it will apply to all items of mail, whether sent from within the country, or from overseas, from June 2008.
| So it is possible that the address's in the WhoIs info are still using the old system since they were filled out in 2000.

Goods paid for didn't turn up and payments withheld, refusal to refund, rude and insulting emails from the manager and nasty threats of legal action if I complain to anyone. The New Zealand Ministry of Consumer Affairs stated the following in regard to contract clauses that attempt to silence customers from complaining or mentioning details of their transactions with globalmediapro:
"The clause you are concerned about may breach the New Zealand Fair Trading Act, because it is not legally possible for a trader to contract out of the responsibilities under the law."
Don't be bullied by this company Dr_Wombat!

It's true that you are responsible for what you write but keep in mind that they may have no intention of carrying through with their threats and could just be trying to intimidate you. I think you should take comfort in your review so long as it is based in fact. We encourage you to leave your review active, but it's totally up to you - they could cause a hassle for you if they actually carried through on their threat.
If you want to be very safe, you could change your review to just say that the merchant threatened to sue you if you didn't remove your negative review. That way, your review stands, they'd have nothing to sue you for, and they'd still have the "Very Dissatisfied" rating counting against their ratings averages.

Whois Globalmediapro?
Hello Guys!
I'm Wisberry from Siberia. I have just registered myself to this forum because I'm also interested - Who's Globalmediapro?
So, I had no any deals with them and couldn't share with you any experiense, but I have just currently checked that Globalmediapro.com is registered under IP 210.48.1.219, and this IP situated at 138, Brougham St., in Wellington, NZ.
You can check it freely if you will put this IP here:
http://whatismyipaddress.com
Some thing about how they work, seems to me quite strange... but if this company has this online store owned since 2001, that means someone should already have bad or good experiense.
So, let's check this company by another way:
put into google.com just two words "Globalmediapro+fraud"
and let see... then.

I'm about to make a purchase, so I doing some investigation about company.
My question (for above participants) is: why you withdraw your comments if you were right?
What is freight if somebody press charges against you and you are in right?
My purchase is not to big (cca. 3.000 USD) but it is much for me, so I would like to here some genuine experience, not "sorry, I had to remove my comment".
It is rubbish! If some would there to rip me off, I would buy hundreds of domains and put web sites with worst critics about him/them (for a strat).
