Router recommendations combo?

Our Linksys router lost it's ability to communicate by about 60 percent so I need to replace it. (It will connect to some sites but not others) This happened during one of two brown outs and then power loss. I am considering the ZOOM which is a combo router and modem. Is this a dependable unit? Any other recommendations for just the router would be appreciated (not wireless)

modem + old computer + http://www.ipcop.org + a good switch.

All the consumer grade routers are crap IMO. They seem to be getting worse.

I had my office on 2 different Netgear routers and it always needed restarting at least once a week and everyone would go off line on MSN messenger and then back on several times a day. I put in an old 500MHz PIII with IPCop on it and it has been going strong for over 2 weeks now with no problems.

I just use the router as a wireless access point now.

I had problems with Linksys previously as well. Switched to Buffalo and have been a happy camper ever since.
