Verizon Only Provider that Blocks Media Xfers by USB MPT

All Verizon Customers should be aware that Verizon purposely blocks the ability to download pictures and other media files to your laptop or other devices through your phone USB port using the popular Motorola ( Mobile ) Phone Tools Software. They do this to force users to send this media via wireless text messages and pay the very high data transfer rates. I have done a thorough investigation into this and Motorola supports my findings that all phone companies provide the hardware means to do this and all other service providers allow this except Verizon. Everyone should carefuly consider this restriction before signing up to Verizons phone plans

I purchased a wireless plan from Verizon with the understanding that I could use all my phone hardware and software features such as the camera, pictures and ability to transfer the pictures to and from my PC or other devices via the provided phone USB port. I recently discovered through a week of painful investigation that Verizon Disables this feature to force customers to send pictures only via their Web Data transfer service at very high data transfer rates. After contacting Motorola they told me that Verizon is the only company to do this. I asked Verizon to cancel my plan and they told ne that I would incurr disconnect / cancelation fees for each phone of $ 175.00. They did not disclose the fact of the picture / media service was disabled at the time I purchased the plan and repeatedly denied it until I came up with evidence provided to me from Motorola and other Web forums. I would like my service plan discontinued with no cancelation fees, my phone numbers transfered to a new provider with no delays, and a refund from Verizon for the phones I purchased and any unused billing cycle minutes. This is an issue of false advertising and also disabling the phone hardware features I purchased for the Motorola Phone.

A few minutes worth of research online would have told you exactly what you needed to know before you jumped in. For the record, this is one of many reasons why I absolutely despise Verizon and I cannot wait for my contract to expire.

Same here,Verizon's DSL service is anything but highspeed for me,and apparently they're only interested in making their FIOS service available in rich neighborhoods.I'm seriously thinking of switching to cable.

jkpsr is infamous around these parts
I have had Verizon Mobile Office software working for several years and Have never had a problem downloading pictures, or anything else. It's slow but it gets there.
