Electronic Checks & Newegg

Don't ever pay for something by electronic check on Newegg! They will hold your order for 7 days before shipping it. I had a problem with my debit card so I canceled it, so I had no other option but to use an electronic check.

Wish I'd have known before how they handle this type of order. I ordered on the 7th of this month, it is now the 14th and still no shipping. Hell there was a 73 dollar charge on my online bank statement from Newegg on the 7th.

Lets see you ordered on the 7th and the charged appeared on your account the same date? Hard to believe, nevertheless, considering the problems merchants have with checks, I do not think a seven day delay is so bad.

From Newegg's payment FAQs:

# How are eCheck payments processed?
The eCheck payment option requires your Full Name (as listed with your Checking account), Checking Account #, Routing #, Drivers License # and DL State of Issuance.

This information will then be validated, your payment will be authorized (usually within minutes) and your Checking Account will be debited within 2-3 business days. Once your eCheck payment has been settled, your requested order will complete processing and ship. *

* In the efforts to continue providing you with the safest online shopping experience possible, eCheck payments require 5 business days from payment authorization before your merchandise is prepared for shipment.

It would have been a good Idea to check the FAQs first before posting here.

Sorry yeadon563, I'm going to agree with AR one this one. Your order should not have shipped till at least the 15th of June. Maybe as late as the 18th, since they don't ship on weekends.
