Fotoconnection fraud drive...

Pl. help me gather information on people in the past who have been cheated by fotoconnection.com or its other sister companies when they purchased goods online.

I am having a tough time even returning the product I bought because they are giving me a run around.

Pl. contact me at globalreviewer@gmail.com in particular I am looking for someone registered as vato1man with reseller ratings just because his case mirrors mine (his was in March 07 and mine in May 07) and I would like to know if he ever managed to return his product and get his right dues for the mistaken purchase from fotoconnection.com

If anyone knows 'vato1man' pl. alert him that his help could immensely help me and also otherwise pl. help me get people together to make a solid case against fotoconnection.com online or with complaining to 'Federal Trade Commission' Consumer complaint etc..
Thanks..

See my recent post in the "Warning: Fotoconnection" thread. This company is highly deceptive...and I just dealt with it for a few minutes today! My sense is that there will be more and more people speaking out about their experiences.

I suggest some actions to take in the other thread. My consumer work dates back to the 1990s when an auto company attempted to deceive me the brakes on its vehicles. Seems that more than just a few Toyota owners feel that they were deceived about the engines in their vehicles.

Online petitions like the "Toyota Owners (Online) Unite for Resolution: Engine Oil Sludge" show that consumers want a way to speak out. Unfortunately, there are ways that the most verbal are dealt with online. One way is for "corporate-friendly" cyberstalkers to attempt to "chase" them away with personal attacks. The practice is alive and well, and as a result, the word isn't circulating the way it would otherwise.

Good luck in your quest for justice! Please speak loudly on the sites I referenced in the other posting. Then, encourage others to visit the sites to post, too. Think "out of the box" and be a pitbull in terms of persistence.

Good Luck

Good luck to you... I spent a lot of time being "run around" by them as well ... when I was researching buying my camera. It seems that there are just SO MANY unscrupulous companies online ... I hope you get some justice.

Also scammed by fotoconnection/Broadway photo

These guys are operating at least on the edge of the law. I was shipped a Japanese version of a camera I had paid extra for US version of, a battery upgrade which was not delivered (fraud) told that shipping/restocking fees are not disputable and they refuse to accept an RMA unless I agreed to the fees (extortion)

Fotoconnection would not ship to my home address and would not let me cancel, promised to ship USPS to my PO Box so I wouldn't cancel, then sent UPS to PO Box anyway. Still in progress...

On 07-08-08 I placed an order for 2 Sanon SD1000 cameras. $19.38 shipping. I received an email asking me to call 800-457-0889 to confirm my order. A "Sam" then proceeded to attempt to sell me accessories, a longer lasting rechargable battery and battery charger. I told him no thanks. He then said there will be an additional $20.00 per camera for shipping insurance and that this was a good idea. I told him that I did not care for shipping insurance and I would but it elsewhere if that was the case. He said I would be charged this amount anywhere I go. I told him I begged to differ. He then said he would throw in the accessories that he offered to sell me previously (a longer lasting rechargable battery and battery charger) for free to make it up to me. I told him no that I now just wanted to cancel my order. He said okay but there will be a 15% restocking fee since he has processed my order! Do I have to say anymore anout the shady practices that this company has in store for "customer" (victims). I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. If I had done a small amount of research on this company I would have found that this behavior is their normal mode of operation and they are getting away with it daily to the dread of unsuspecting customers all over the USA. Internal terrorists.
