From: Danette Pascoe (<>@projector.com)
Hi, I stumbled across your site this morning and found ratings on our store.
I noticed that the ratings listed are pretty old and they concern Projector.com's previous owner and staff. We took over Projector.com
02/07 and are trying to re-establish ourselves as a reputable online business. Our new owner is the founder and President of Boxlight, which is an established, highly regarded leader in its industry. Is there anything we can do to redeem ourselves or do we have to live with these ratings?
Thanks.

Hello Danette,
You said that Projector.com's new owners are the owners of Boxlight.com but, according to the WA Secretary of State Corporations Division, the same officers - Herbert Meyers, President, and Joy Page, Secretary - are and have been with both Projector.com and Boxlight.com since at least 2004.
We remove reviews only when a company is bought out by a new entity and no individuals, including owners, partners, executives, managers, employees, shipping department personnel, sub/contractors, etc., from the old company continue to be affiliated with the new company.
Best Regards,
Lara

Hi Lara,
Thanks for looking into this. Apparently, the information that the State has is incorrect. Herb originally founded Boxlight in California then moved and registered with the State of Washington 12/4/1996 (I have a copy of the certificate and court documents, if required).
Projector.com was owned by Stephen Schramke from 2004 - 2007. Herb purchased Projector.com and AbsoluteHD and took full ownership February 2007.
I'm not sure where they got this information, but it is not correct.

Danette,
Are you saying that the following statement is false?:
"Herbert Meyers, President, and Joy Page, Secretary, are and have been with both Projector.com and Boxlight.com since at least 2004."
Ownership alone is not the determining factor; *any* officer, executive, manager, director, staff, employee, etc., - anyone - who was part of the old company that continues or remains with the new company, causes the disqualification of the option of having old company reviews removed.
Best Regards,
Lara

To Whom it May Concern:
Thank you for informing us of the error in the Washington State records concerning Projector.com, Inc. We shall attend to that directly.
I personally bought the assets (including the name and URL,
projector.com) of Projector.com LLC on February 1st, 2007. I did not buy the company, its management, or its sales staff. I nor any of my other holdings had anything to do with Projector.com LLC prior to February 1st, 2007.
BOXLIGHT Corporation is a completely separate entity having nothing to do with Projector.com,Inc., except I happen to own 100% of the stock of both companies.
I would appreciate anything which you can do to remove reviews of Projector.com that took place prior to the formation of Projector.com,Inc on February 1, 2007.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Very truly yours,
Herb Myers,
President
Projector.com, Inc.

Herb,
This "problem" is easy to fix: Projector.com only has 4 customer reviews, which is basically nothing, and the solution is simply to start getting new reviews to drown out the old ones. ResellerRatings has a six-month rating system, which is the main rating we show here (
http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Projector). That means that we only look at reviews received within the past 6 months to generate that rating.
Our advice to you is to increase the number of reviews that you have received by:
-Using our exit survey (link or popup) on your final order confirmation screen (scroll down to "Point-of-Sale Exit Survey,
http://www.resellerratings.com/merchant-solutions#tools)
-Emailing existing customers an offer (like a discount on a future order) to provide feedback (you can only request "feedback", not ask for a "good review", and you must honor the offer even if negative feedback is provided.
-Include a link to your ResellerRatings survey page from your order confirmation email.
Most stores at ResellerRatings have hundreds, or even thousands of reviews:

Best,
Scott
