Circuit City Rebates: Caveat Emptor

I've used Circuit City for many years without any significant problem. Rebates were also no problem but all were under $50. So I bought a Toshiba laptop with a $150 rebate a few weeks ago from circuit city and sent in the appropriate materials, following the instructions to the letter.

Guess what? Today I received an email from rebate track stating the rebate was invalid because my receipt did not state the price I paid for the Toshiba!!! The receipt does, of course, state the price I paid.

UPDATE: Guess what? I called the circuit city rebate site, explained my problem and it was immediately fixed. What a great company!!

Think of the money they save if they send that email to everyone and only 50% people call about it though.
