Darterz.com NOT a reputable place/person to buy darts from!

Either someone has hi-jacked their name or this merchant (darterz.com) and it's many aliases has decided to walk on the dark side of consumer fraud.

We wish we had investigated this business/person before we made a purchase (a birthday gift no less) from them. Sad to say, but we purchased darts from them through a reputable online source where they had a long series of positive ratings (over 100).

However, after patiently waiting three weeks with no deleivery received, we contacted them twice but never received a reply. Since we paid using our PayPal account we filed a dispute. A few days after filing the dispute we got a message from the seller (Darterz/Mike Danford) saying that we would be receiving our merchandise via priority mail (they included tracking numbers).

Well, it has been an additional two weeks since then and we still have not received the promised delivery. Not only that but the USPS tracking number we were given "can't be found" when entered on the USPS web site. While we were hopeful that Darterz/Mike Danford would do the right thing and honor their end of the sale, we weren't too surprized to find that the tracking numbers didn't work. Fortunately PayPal has since refunded our money.

Now, I'm sure at one time they were a legitimate business and operated on the up-and-up. But recently that seems not to be the case (as is evidenced by doing a little online investion of your own).

Bottomline, RUN from this merchant!

Appreciate the leads nomaxim I'll definately be following up. I just heard (from another disatisfied buyer of darterz) that they have a new web site up and running Good grief. Anyone else in the area know if this store front is still in business or if the person associated with the darterz site is really one and the same?

There are thousand of sites selling or appearing to sell darts. Beware.

As a retailer of darts for over 20 years I have seen many of these sites come and go. Most of them are set up by a guy in a basement who has an idea to make a few $. Most of them have little or no stock and they hope that enough people will be suckered in to place an order that they can them order from one of the majot wholesalers.

A couple of words of advice. If you can't find a phone number or address on the site - go somewhere else. They probably have a full time job somewhere else and can't afford a business phone line. Do a web search, if all you find is their webpage it means that no one else has been looking for them.
