Looking for Info on Merchant Crayeon3.com

Hey all,

Long time reader, first time poster (sorry had to do it)

I'm in the market for some phone shopping and recently came across the site crayeon3.com and found some pretty good deals on the items I've had my eyes on. Now I've been burned on the past on my online shopping with sites based out of other countries (they appear to be based out of Kuala Lampur), so I wanted to fish around a little before doing business with them. Has anyone here had any experience with them?

Heck, even some info on this Comodo "trustlogo.com" IdAuthority Credentials deal would even be of help. Generally I would just like to find out the legitimacy of it and have come up pretty empty while scouring the net in general.

http://www.crayeon3.com/c3/default.aspx?

Thanks in advance!

To me, saving a few percent on a puchase wouldn't be worth the stress of dealing with some one I don't know...

The following would also turn me off:

Customs Information, Import Duties and Taxes

You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, in your order, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.

Generally, customs forms for international packages will list the value of your order's contents by product type and value. We would also like you to be aware that international shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

By law, we are required provide certain order, shipment, and product information to our international carriers, and such information may be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws.

IMPORTANT: When your order reaches the country of destination and you (or the recipient) choose not to pay the customs duties and/or taxes and the order is shipped back to us, we will NOT refund the amount you spent on the order. This is due to the fact that we will have to bear the cost of return shipping and also required to PAY duties and/or taxes levied by the customs to have the product released back to us.

This is especially true for Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Arab Emirates.

Full Refunds Policy

You may return only new, unopened items sold by Crayeon3 within 30 days of delivery for a refund, excluding shipping, subject to a 30% restocking fee. Items should be returned in their original packaging. No restocking fee will be levied if the return is a result of our error.

Thanks for the info. I suppose that, coupled with the fact that it's free shipping, probably means I'd be paying out the ears in import taxes when it's shipped.

Any second opinions?

I've dealt with them before, bought an unlock Razr MAXX so I can travel international and swipe local SIM cards. They seem to be very responsive.

In general, US Customs doesn't really charge duties on international packages marked as gift. So be sure to ask them to do the same.

No comment about returns coz I got mine ok

I bought a Nokia 6500 Classic from them and the phone arrived via FedEx in 5 days.

No hassles whatsoever.
