Does Anyone Use VONAGE

I am seriously thinking of getting vonage not only is it cheaper than att but customer service has to be better just for the simple fact you really cant get any worse than att IMO.

So my first question is is there any hidden fees on your monthly bill?

2. How is the quality of the service as in down time, clarity?

3.If you have ever used their support services or had to contact them how did they do.

AND yes i have read the reveiws on them here but most are past a year old and none since then so i am thinking the kinks got worked out.

I know they are in litigation but i can still sing up with them for a short amount of time while they appeal it. Any useful information that you can offer will be reguarded as priceless. Thank you ahead of time

I have had it since Feb 2005 and LOVE it!
Zero downtime, excellent call quality and great features!
Send me a private message here on the forum and I'll let you know how both of us can get a free month if you join up!
I call a friend in Greece all the time and it is only .06 cents/min!
I really like it.
Go for it!

Arent they not accepting new customers in the US right now???

Anyways, I had it at my home about a year ago and when I moved I didnt keep it. When I did have it I loved it and it worked good.

I recently put it in my business and I think it sucks so far. It is down a lot and I have to unplug and plug back in the modem they gave. Calling customer service is a headache because they are from India and have thick accents and read directly from a script.

Overall though I think its worth it to save the money.

I use Vonage and it works fine and as advertised, but as you noted there *may* be trouble brewing ahead. Hopefully it does not result in higher prices or degraded service/s.

I did have problems at one point which resulted in my calling tech support. The India-outsourced TS was adequate and their suggestion resolved my issue (disconnecting telephone wires from the outside junction box.).

Added charges on my bill are from unavoidable local taxes.

The injunction was temporarily stayed by an appeals court.

Thank you david, i already get a free month as i will sign up for unlimited, but if it helps you get a free month also and doesnt raise the price for me then send link i sent you the information you need to get ahold of me.
Also thank you laura and rob for your replies. I have decided to get it.
I have had to much trouble with att and the plan i am on caller id, call waiting and unlimited local and long distance cost me 54.95 a month then add taxes so 24.99 plus taxes sounds alot better for alot more services.

As for the tech support hopefully i wont have to call them but compared to the 75 minutes i spent with att and 4 transfers and the 3 sales pitches i got and the real nice sales person (lmao) that when i told her i didnt want sat tv thru them and that i just needed to change my dsl so please transfer me, her reply was please just shut up and let me read this to you or i won't transfer you and you will have to call back and start all over just really pi@@ed me off so i decided right there and then to cancell my dsl which i did anad got insightbb instead. Now to cut the final cord and get vonage.

Again thank you for the replies they helped to ease my worries.

Vonage sucks for me

I can't say that I am pleased with Vonage, the first few months I had excellent service.....but now, It appears that I get sporadic service at best and when I do get service it is below par for sound quality ( Yes, I did adjust the bandwidth setting to MAX ) and caller reception.

Tech Service called my Vonage line and even they couldn't fix it (I was on my cell phone while they called) after 45 minutes of "looking into it"

Thanks for reminding me, I need to cancel their service.

The first 4 months they score a 10, the last 7 months a solid 2 outta 10.
