DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! BELIEVE ALL OF THE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE TRUE!! I ordered a SAMSUNG 40" LCD TV Model# LNS4095D the day before Thanksgiving. Two days later Pete, a salesperson from this company called to verify the order. After I accepted, he told me that the TV was a PARALLEL IMPORT and that I had to purchase a USA WARRANTY for $100 dollars. Thinking that it was still a good deal, I accepted. Two weeks later, I received my TV. When I set up the TV, I realized there was no remote. I called, Pete, the following day and he said the package did not come with the remote. I then called Samsung to get a replacement remote. When I provided Samsung the serial number I found out the TV was REFURBISHED WITH A 90 DAY WARRANTY!
I then called Fotoconnection the next day and told them the TV was refurbished. I asked for either a refund or an extended warranty. Zack, another salesman, said he would offer me an extended warranty since they neglected to tell me it was refurbished. I accepted. A week later after talking to my cousin, I changed my mind. I wanted to get a full refund and return the TV. Kelly, another salesperson, said I couldn't return the TV since it was past the 10 day return policy. I told them that since the TV was refurbished it should negate the policy. She kept denying that the TV was refurbished and said all she could do was offer me the extended warranty. A few days later I called to get a RMA and requested to get a full refund. Not getting a phone call I called to get my status on my RMA. A gentleman who said he was the controller said my RMA request was denied. He tried to offer me a $100 to $200 credit, but I refused. I requested to exchange it for a brand new TV. He said he couldn't fulfill my request because he said they no longer carried the TV. After some arguing I finally got an RMA number.
I was going to get ready to ship it back until I found out it would cost me $500 dollars to ship the TV back. They were also not going to refund me for the original shipping and would charge me a 15% restocking fee. After calculating that I would only get back 50% of my investment, I decided to keep the TV and register for the extended warranty. To this day, they are still advertising the TV as "BRAND NEW FACTORY SEALED WITH 1 YEAR USA WARRANTY". I wish I had researched the company I was buying from. I had researched the television but not the vendor. If I had, I could have bought the TV from a reputable vendor such as Amazon for $100 dollars more and get a brand new TV. IF A DEAL IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT IS!! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE LIARS AND THEY USE DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES! THEY ARE ALSO COMMITTING FRAUD BY ADVERTISING THEIR PRODUCTS AS BRAND NEW WHEN THEY ARE REFURBISHED!
