RedTagMarket.com

I've searched the forums and found nothing on this site for Redtagmarket.com and I'd like to know I'm not in the works to get a slow burn.

I purchased through an online auction ( yeah, that one ) a DVD called Digital Video Essentials from Redtagmarket. The terms of the auction clearly state:

Within USA:

$3.95 Flat Fee.+ $1.00 Insurance. Approximate delivery time is 5 to 7 business days. Our products will ship either USPS or DHL. We cannot guarantee that your items will be shipped together. For this reason, we cannot discount your Shipping and Handling fees on multiple auctions.

okay, so I can understand it may take 5-7 days, but i just got an email with a tracking number from Redtagmarket stating they just shipped the product ( on day 6 ) and it will be an extra 3-5 days as the tracking number hasn't even registered yet with USPS.

Anyone else felt a slow burn from Redtag or am I in too much of a hurry?

At the bottom of the email it says " Please allow a full 2 weeks (domestic) or 3 weeks (international) from the date of shipment before inquiring about your order.".

Comments?

That's them.

Their prices are pretty good for alot of items, but so far I'm neutral on their shipping policy, as compared to what is stated onsite/offsite auctionwise and what actually occurs.

They also state DHL is used in shipping, yet the invoice states that all products are shipped only through USPS, so which is it.?

I'll keep everyone informed, as it appears I'm a test rabbit.

The eBay feed back is 98.8% positive also;

But, then again eBay feedback is either positive, negative, or neutral. Or as I like to think of it; good, bad, and ehhhh whatever.

Right, and they have less than a 1% +- failed the customer rate of return on coming through.

@ 20,000 sales last month alone, there is still almost 400 people that have had an issue with them. I'll sit back on this one and be patient as I do have a tracking number and fair response times in emails so far.

I just checked the tracking number, expected delivery date is now the 28th ( bumped back again ). The auction stated 5-7 days to ship, I paid before the 14th and when it arrives it will be 13 business days alone to get it to me.

I see and feel a slow burn approaching. Grrrrrrrrrr.

The FTC Mail Order Rule gives them 30 days from the billing date to ship.
A majority of the complaints with the BBB are for 'Delivery Issues.'
Did you ever figure out who they ship with, DHL or USPS?
If USPS I bet they used 'Media Mail.'

Definately used USPS as it is written on the tracking site as a *note* to the results. I'll just be patient, I was hoping anyone else would have good things to say about RedTag based on previous experience.

I sure like their prices for older music, but the trial run purchase is dissuading me from another.

FWIW, I've bought 8-10(don't remember the exact #'s) times from them, Username MovieMars, like ~1yr ago and nothing stands out in my memory as a bad experience. The slow to recieve strikes a chord though.

I see they still have a rather eclectic asst. of music to browse, which is a bonus here

I think this company has terrable customer service. The whole s&h then adding $1 at the end of the auction is BS. I would recommend not buying from this company
