Caution about Frys.com

I would like to caution everyone about doing business with Fry's or Outpost.com. It has been nearly a month since I cancelled an order with Fry's within an hour of originally ordering and they still have failed to return the money to my account. I have written the CFO, the President, the CFO/CIO and called the Customer Support Manager numerous times. I have received absolutely no response and am now handling the matter through the Better Business Bureau.

I would suggest you get your wallet tightly in your hand and leave this merchandiser's as quickly as you can. The only thing you have to lose is your money.

Sorry about your bad experience with Frys.com.

If you used a credit card, I would also contact the CC company and place a dispute on the charge. That usually gets the company's attention. If they don't respond, your CC company will usually just credit back the disputed amount themselves.

If you ordered with a credit card, you should contact the issuing bank immediately with the dispute. You do not have to pay for goods and services not rendered.

I have ordered many times from Fry's and have had no problems at all.

That being said, you should also contact your credit card company as suggested earlier.

Have you called them during normal business hours? It would seem hard not to get a response if you actually talked to a person.

they suck

With a six month rating of 3.94, consumers should go elsewhere. There are better stores deserving your business.

I too had a first and bad experience with Frys.com
They got me to order on black Friday offers. Charged my CC and did not ship till a week and when asked why is it "Same day Shipping" not shipped even after a week I got a reply that they do not have the Item with them and have ordered from their suppliers. But the same Item is now sold at a higher price at Fry's stores. I am happy atleast I got my money back when I called.

They actually had prevented customers from purchasing from their competitors on the Black Friday day.

Frys practices con artist types of behavior

--based on several experiences with Frys, I can sum up the responses to my product and service issues in this way - it dangles product at attractive prices when there is not enough product to be sold; they dangle rebates out there, then do not proviude the proper forms for the rebates to be done; most egregiously, they have misrepresented extended warranties to get the sale and then when the warranty was to be redeemed, deny that the coverage exists; finally, I have reveived different stories or renditions of policies, product availability, and warranty coverage from different people from Frys.

IT seems like it is some kind of wild west , middle east bazarre type of operation where solid statements from Frys staff can be safely trusted. They seem to lack a uniformity of service presentation. They might have a sale no matter what modus operendi.

For me, it now no sale no matter what.

After you give them money for the product - IF they product is in fact there - it will be torture and fight for any kidn fo service afterwards.

IT seems like it is some kind of wild west , 'middle east bizarre' type of operation where solid statements from Frys staff can NOT be safely trusted.
