TV Authority SUCKS
has anyone else had such a bad Exp. like i have? i order a 40 inch LCD samsung tv on 2/28. after a week my order status was still" order pending" after calling and calling everyday and also leaving tons of e mails i actually get some on the phone. i was told it would be shipped out asap. and i would get a tracking number in a e mail the next day.. guess what? no tracking number. after threating legal action i get the number. now my tv is still sitting the shipping company wharehouse waiting to be released. i get through to someone yesteday, they promised it would be here by the 3/14. i still have my doubts

I just ordered from them on Friday. My order is still in pending. I am giving them a chance, because the BBB has them at a CC rating. What I think is they are cheap as they are, have an overwhelming number of orders. They weren't ready for them and now don't know how to handle them. Yesterday I called they shut down there Customer Service department for the day to implenet a new system, possibly a new routing system. I work at a call center, so I know what that's like. Most likely they are trying to improve themselves to make there order process more smoothly. If my order gets stuck in processing for more then a week, I will cancel and order somewhere else. I will give them a chance.
By the way, anyone actually ever get there TV from them?

I realize that information already, thank you. From the reviews are read here some people do get there T.V's some don't. What I am enquiring about is anyone who is on the actually forums with more then 1 post has actully gotten a TV from them?
As you notice I have been a customer since 04' but never posted just browsed around.

Scottfree67, Good Luck! You have entered the Twilight Zone. This is the zone where the frustration level has one direction. Up. My experience started in August 2006 and only ended when TVAuthority failed to respond to my dispute with my credit card company. I wrote a review, my first, but it was 1000+ characters over the limit and I have not yet cut it down to post level.
Nafeasonto, yes I got a TV. If you have ordered once again, Good Luck. If you haven’t ordered yet, my recommendation is count yourself lucky and move on.
I’ll give you the quick version. I used to be in the home electronics industry and still annually attend the CES for over 25 years. I know what I wanted all they had to do was get it to me. I called and talked to Stephanie Moist before I ordered to get a feel for the outfit. They initially looked like a real find. In August their 6 month rating was 9.21 and they has the Gold rating also. I told her before ordering that I would be rating them. $4000 is a lot of money. Within 10 days their rating fell to the 8+ level two weeks later they were in the low 7's. To go from 9.21 to where they are now is not because they are getting better.
Ordered, got delivery date. can’t get tracking info. Lied about tracking info. Unit not shipped as promised. They offered a small credit I accepted. Unit comes. NOT double boxed, impact in side rips through first 12 pages of the manual. NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED. I was lucky unit worked. They sent a cheap freebie HDMI cable a couple of days later. The cable has “SIGNATURE REQUIRED” multiple stickers, stamps, etc. for a $12 cable????
Credit will be issued right now. Didn’t happen gave them a couple of weeks. They left message on machine we’re sorry Blah Blah Blah. I’m doing it right now. Lies, more time, dispute the small credit amount ($100) with credit card. Credit issued by the credit card company on November 29 after TVAuthority never responded to the credit card company!!!! my order was August 22. These guys are the worst in all my years of buying on line.
They are real good at one THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD WITHIN MINUTES.

Manuals I could care less about, but what counts is did you actually get the TV on time or you waited a long time?

nafeasonto, I think you missed the point. If you think it's OK to have a impact like that on a $4000 piece of electronics. Let me tell you, it's not! Yeh I got it weeks after promised, many phone calls, multiple emails and a lot of luck. Remember their 6 month rating was 9.21 when I ordered.

i've been e mailing and leaving VM's for two week str8. i got 1 phon call back and last night they e mail me the tracking number. i was told thru live chat and on the phone my tv would be here my march 14th.. we'll see. i've already filed a complaint with the CA BBB. i called TV Authority friday and i got a message saying they were updating thier phone system... what a joke

Scottfree. I hope that's a good sign. If you go back in their reviews TVAuthority responded to several very dissatisfied with the story they were inplementing a "Sigma Six" stratagy. I would not believe anything from them until the unit is in your hands. Good luck.

i just called the shipping company Mach 1 Air. they told me they are waiting on TV Authority to let them release my tv so it can be shipped.. what BS. I'm not blaming Mach 1.. this is really getting out of hand..
