Newegg and Chiefvalue?

Does anyone know if chiefvalue and newegg are the one and same. Both have warehouses in the same locations, prices are almost exact as newegg and shipping is done the same way.

Because another website will take a certain percent of the market that they don't have at newegg.

While I'm fairly convinced that they are the same company (you even get Newegg ads in orders from Chiefvalue), both companies deny that there is any relationship, aside from using the same warehouses.

I have seen it stated in reviews on HardOCP that both Newegg and Chief Value are subsidiary companies of ABS Computers.

Newegg is actually its own company by itself that much i know. They split from their parent company in 2001. I emailed mastervalue and asked about them and newegg before i placed an order and never got a response.

Err Flipper, they are subsidiary company company of ABS Computers, not a totally separate company. Here is a quote from a HardOCP article published right on a year ago on the ABS Ultimate M5 Vortex system they were selling at the time:

For all intents and purposes, both Newegg and Chief Value operate as separate companies in their day to day operations, but are actually owned by ABS. I can't find a link to where I read that Chief Value is also owned by the same parent company, but I did read that somewhere.

I beleive you to be right mudd. I was going off an old article i read at andi-tech but i went back and read again and it doesnt say they are owned seperatly. Also if you google newegg and go down a few links you can read the same article and see what neweggs warehouse looks like. Doesnt look like room enough for 2 seperate warehouses there.

Why is it that for every company that has a second site it says 'Also see:' and their second site but somehow for Newegg and Chiefvalue it doesn't say that?

Is Newegg getting 'special' treatment or what?
