countrygrl is infamous around these parts
No Recourse with eDirectSoftware!

Be Warned!

eDirectSoftware's prices may seem reasonable, but in the event of non-delivery of your order/non-working software etc., despite their guarantee, they will not stand behind anything. Your only recourse is to file a charge reversal with your credit card company!

Their customer service is a joke. The c/s phone line is a recorded message that automatically disconnects after the message!

When you e-mail their customer service, they do not respond unless you threaten to reverse your payment or take legal action.

And their live messaging (available 9-4 MST)is often unavailable (all agents are busy, please leave us a message... see above)

Also, interesting to note that Microsoft is suing this company alleging sales of pirated product.

I stupidly didn't read the recent online reviews of them - See here and here - scroll down, and ordered software. The e-mail confirmation contained no shipping info. After the package did not arrive in the 5-7 business day time frame they advertise, I sent an e-mail requesting shipping/tracking info. NO RESPONSE. I sent a second e-mail a few days later marked urgent. AGAIN - NO RESPONSE. I tried calling and their phone number and of course got disconnected. Finally, after a third e-mail a few more days later, threatening to reverse the charges on my credit card produced a tracking number with UPS.

When tracked, I discovered the package had been sent to an incorrect address - NOT THE ADDRESS I PROVIDED. I quickly tracked down the owners of that address, who use it as a retreat and had not been up there in some time. The package (according to UPS) had been left at a side door. This door is unsheltered and we had received 20+ inches of snow and high winds since the delivery, during which time they of course ignored my e-mail requests for shipping info! Needless to say, despite going there myself, searching and digging for half an hour in frigid weather, there was no sign of the package.
And even though eDirect Software CHARGED ME INSURANCE, they REFUSED to send a replacement. So of course I did reverse the charges and am filing a BBB complaint.

Thanks for a heads up on these folks! It seems they have a problem with sending keys with software, again thanks, you saved me from a possible headache!
