Losing faith in Amazon.
Used to be you could order from Amazon and have your package in a day or two. Not any more. I ordered a Linksys router on the 3rd and didn't get a shipping notice until the 7th. And the package didn't actually get picked up until the 10th. Now they're saying it may not be delivered until the 21st???

| Master M_Six, Amazon never did much for me. I do not like the fact, that only down the road do they tell who you are ordering from. Besides what is Amazon role other than being a link. Moreover, I do not buy used or refurbished gear.

yeah... If you get free or regular shipping, you're lucky to get it within 7 business days. It sucks.

I agree. Same problems with Amazon.
The shipping is no longer quick.

Amazon used to ship everything I ordered in one shipment. Even with 4 items in stock they split orders to get more money shipping items. My last order had 1 day shipping I got it in 2 days. If I order anything else from Amazon it will be standard shipping only.

I agree. The last item I ordered was to be shipped from backinthepark through Amazon Marketplace. I never heard of the place but more significantly, neither has the Google engine. I hope I get the wireless adapter I ordered.

Not to knock on anyone here, but it clearly states on their site when you choose "free shipping" that it will take 7-10 business days, as in 7-10 weekdays excluding the weekend, and thats if you bought something from amazon.com, not by another seller.
Amazon has been good on their free shipping all the time and sometimes even better, showing up at my doorsteps in 2 days. But sometimes they will hold the item even if it's in stock so that they can ship it in the estimated date they give you, but then again you get what you pay for...

I have been a loyal amazon.com customer since 98 or 99 and I have ordered so many items from them. It has been a year that I have signed up with their prime shipping service--which supposed to be second day service--but actually my items arrive after a week. Even worse, I ordered something a month ago and paid a fee for the next day service but the item arrived in four days. I think amazon.com is trying too hard to make money on its shipping and it is not pretty. I believe shipping is the most important part of the whole online shopping experience and if they fail in the last step, then I am longing for another online retailer. I don't understand why it takes two days to a week for the item to leave amazon.com's warehouse and another week (-/+) for the item to be delivered. At least, as an honest retailer should do, tell us when the item will leave their warehouse, so customers know and decide whether they can afford to wait or get it from their nearest retailer.

Kinda the same experience on my end. I've been a customer since 1998 and a share holder since 2001, after 9/11 and they have made me a good return on my investment but the shipping has been lacking the past year or so. I don't use the Free option and still can't receive the package on time.
They are always willing the refund the cost though.
