Ehh, I haven't had any problems with their customer service, I can only say positive things. Sorry to hear about your bad experiences, but it doesn't happen to all of us.

For the norm i usually get great service. But then again over the past couple of months it has had a down side to it. Wont stop using them yet but on the other side i have been looking very hard for a good supplier for myself and my customers. I usually use performancepcs in flordia for most of my mods. Procesors and motherboards and ram and dvd writers and floppys and a few other items i still get from newegg. At this time i have 3 computers estimated out. About 2 grand worth of parts from newegg alone if they get my order. I am actually putting it off to wait and see what they do with their shipping by changing it to ground. I need to be able to give the people that have me build for them a firm date and getting something 2 to 5 days late is just uncalled for. Especially when i picked 3 day garantee. Ground is 3 to 7 days so isnt ups fault. That and a contest i was a winner in has been more troble than i can admit to.

Good merchant= honesty, good customer service and a value for the customer. So far newegg has 1 out of 3. Hopefully things will change but cant count on it will wait and see.

Sorry to hear that you had such a horrible experience with them. It's truly disgusting how they had apologized for their mistake and offered you a $15 discount on your next order. What a way to run a business.

Oh yea, I just placed an order for a LG DVD burner with Newegg. $29.99 w/free shipping. Great deal if you ask me.

Please save all packaging and accessories for any item that is returned to Newegg.com. All original equipment, components, manuals, cables, documents and packaging must be returned with your item in order for Newegg.com to process your RMA. An item returned for a replacement may be repaired or replaced at Newegg.com's discretion, unless otherwise required by law. Products with specific refund and return policies and deadlines must be returned within the time periods specified for each item. All items sold through Newegg.com are subject to our Policy and Agreement. Physically damaged items cannot be returned.

Id say probably because you didnt send it in per agreement, with all item that came in the box and with the original box. As a person that builds for others i give them along with the computer the retail boxes and all items and tell them if they have a problem and need to warranty any item please make sure to have the box saved. I think you are lucky they took the one.

By the conversation you just posted what are you looking for to be honest. Sounds like your after a bigger amount of credit is all. They said sorry and mistakes like that happen no matter where you shop at.

not after a credit at all. the thing that pissed me off is that they believe $15 is going to make everything all better. I'm not after any money, I just want an explanation why one RMA gets approved and the other doesn't, when they both were the same. Obviously you do not get my point, read again.

i don't know how much you spend there but I can pretty much guarantee it's nowhere around what I spend. If there is a screw up, I want to know why. The reason I shop at newegg wasn't just cause of the prices, even though their prices are excellent. The first time I ever ordered from them, I bought a video card. It came 2 days later after ordering with the video card in just a antistatic bag and a fedex box with no cushioning anywhere. Of course the video card was dead since half the capacitors broke off the board. I called them up very pissed as to why they would package something like that. Without much talk the guy overnighted me another video card without me even returning the old one. I was absolutely amazed by how far they went to make me happy. Ever since then there has been over $50K easily purchased by my company and I. I bought exclusively from them. The last few transactions have been horrendous. So do you still think i'm after a bigger credit?!?

Personnaly I'd feel lucky that they took the one back and not be upset they didn't take the other.

Were the boards from the same company? If not, that might help explain the differences...

Have you since implemented a "keep the box" program to avoid future problems?
