Has anyone here entered and won an online contest? If so after you returned your release forms how long did it take to get your prize. Yes there is a reason im asking but i want to get feedback before i jump any fences.

I entered and won a Diamond Stealth AGP 4MG video card from CDW (http://www.cdw.com/) back in 1993. Being cutting edge with my 486 DX 100 16mg of ram and a 512K PCI video card, I had to upgrade, to an Intel 586 133 and motherboard just to use that bad boy . Ah back in the day... But to answer your question they just used my name and state in an ad. Never heard from them again. Soo,what'd you win??? Oh,I received the card in two days after they called and notified me.

Thats what i wanted to know was the 2 day part. But i can see bac in the day you had you a whopping maching. Has traveled far since then. Ive been waiting 21 days so far and still waiting. Guess its free but what the heck have been givin 3 different dates for ship and last one already came and gone. Shipping problems i guess. Never won anything online before so i was just wondering how long it usually took. I will let you know in the next topic i post will go something like newegg scams contest winners or some such. I have every email they sent and every email i sent them. Like i said had 3 different ship dates promised then after emailing jason today he said all contest winners were going thru the same thing. I admit there are actually 2 people out of the 1000 that work at newegg that seem ok and half way try to keep their word. Will wait till my next email from them i have to keep checking my junk mail i took them off my allowed list and after this it will move to block list. Still deciding if i should reopen case with the bbb on their changing shipping that isnt in their tos. Im just tired of the run around and the fake replys that say they are looking into it and sorry and so on like a bunch of form letters. Got a co worker today wants a new mobo and dual core and ram and vid card for his machine. Now i get to spend my time finding a place that keeps their word and will ship on time and the way i want it. Like 1 inch from blowing off newegg.In the last 3 months i built 2 dual core units off their site and i promise you i have had more trouble than the savings is worth. Sure i got a 40 and a 50 credit but whats the use if they cost me 10 times that much in aggrevation.

Just found out what was going on. It appears as though there was a little back up in shipping the prize winnings. My rep said that he will have your prize sent out on Monday :-)

Thats the third time i was promised ship on monday and third time they didnt. I will create a new post with all emails in it so you can read what it has been like.

california law does give them 30 days to have it to me so i guess i can wait till the 11th of feb before i raise to big a stink.
