Hands OFF - eforcity.com !

I live in Denmark and I never bought and I will never buy from this store and here it is why :

Monday morning I woke up and checked my balance on the bank and I saw a suspect transaction on my credit card :

VISA-transaction
USD 8,98
EFORCITY CORP
626-442-3168
USA
Date of Purchase : 16/01/2007 (This did not show up on my balance until monday morning)

Well, I was thinking maybe was a mistake and I call the bank and tell them to take a look at it because I never bought from this company.
They will look into the problem and ask me if they should close my card and send me another one.
I told them to let it be and just check this maybe was a mistake in the system.

Next morning I check again the balance and surprise surprise !
On my account a new transaction from the same company :

VISA-transaction
USD 8,68
EFORCITY CORP
626-442-3168
USA
Purchase date: 20/01/2007

I call the bank again and tell them to close my card and send me another one and try to see if I can get the money back as it was not me doing this transactions.
Then I wrote an e-mail to eforcity.com , provided them the details of the transaction and the number of the credit card used (that was by now closed)and asked them if they can provide me the shipping address for this 2 orders so I have a proof of the fraud.
Not so much for the money as it is not such a big amount but anyway I just wanted to see for myself where did they ship this to orders.

About 4 days later I receive an e-mail from the customer support :

"Dear Customer,



It is not possible that someone is using your credit card, because we don't accept international credit card for payment. Our system will automatically reject the credit card. Please check with your credit card company for more details.



Thank you for your email.



Swee

Customer Service"

How can they tell me the card could not be used by them when it is in the system and the bank statement does not lie ?? Do they think everybody is stupid ?

They did not even bother to read my mail and address me with my name.
The e-mail is signed "Swee - Customer Service" so I don't have clue with whom I am talking and they threated my mail like I would not exist and they don't seem to care to much about credit card security , or fraud on their shop or anything.

Usually when I am writing to someone concerning serious matters I fully sign the e-mails with complete name , phone etc so they have some refferences.

So I would advertise not to buy from this shop even if they have some special products or something as their customer care does not exist and they could not care less about any fraud on commited on their shop.

it says they ship internationally.. wonder why they say "we don't accept international credit card for payment" .. odd ... you sure no one got ahold of your CC or that it is being charged from another purchase you made to a different site... that is somewhat affiliated with this site..?

Customer $66, welcome to RR. No address, no telephone, I would give it a Ping-Ding-Aling.

In fairness to the company the triple B gives eforcity an A rating. Moreover, I called customer service department and had a live human being, in under one minute.

Yes , I am sure I did not used on any affiliate shop.
Only places I used online was on national stores and let me tell you the are checked up to the bones by the system before they are selling with online payment.
And the bank statement states CLEARLY the card has been used on their shop
and I bet if I would try to buy something from them with an international credit card I will be able to do it , so the not accepting international credi cards it is a lie ... it's a VISA and it can be used anywhere in the world.

They might have a real person in customer support but on the billing support I can just see a "ghost" that does not care to much if someone is ripped of on their shop.
The least what they could do was to check up the orders and see where the goods were shipped and TRY to offer some help instead of just showing me a finger.

Customer, I understand your pain. Try calling them and tell them you are doing a thread, regarding their company and see if it is of any helf. 626.442.3168

PS: this company does use the Truste label but is not registered as such. I find that disconcerting.
