Wisetronics / Wisetronics.com

Hi All:

I'm posting this to alert possible customers of Wisetronics.com to avoid purchasing any items from this vendor. Based on the reviews/feedbacks from consumers for Wisetronics.com (http://www.resellerratings.com/store/wisetronics) they continue to conduct dishonest business with consumers.

I purchased an item via an online transaction, had to call in to verify my order and ended up paying for standard items that are included with the retail package. Wisetronics also stated that I purchased an import item and not the US model, which is not stated on their website. I tried cancelling the order prior to having it shipped and was told that they cannot cancel the order because it's already in the system. This is within 1 hour of approving the order. Not sure about other users who purchase online but I've done online purchases from a number of online vendors and as long the order was not shipped I can cancel it for a full refund. Wisetronics did not want to honor their return policy after I receive the order. They upgraded my order to expedite shipping at no additional cost but I was charged for the shipping in the end. Heck, I live in Brooklyn, so I wonder what AIR delivery service they use to ship from Brooklyn, NY to Brooklyn, NY?

I attempted to setup an RMA after receiving the items and was told I could not and if I'm not happy they will thrown in extra items at DEEP discounted price to keep me happy and as a customer. When I mentioned I would take it up with my credit card company I was told I will lose my money and also the items so it'll be foolish of me to do that. No direct attempts were made on Wisetronics part to setup the RMA even after I clearly stated I want to return the items for a refund.

If you contacted Wisetronics to return your order via RMA or could not cancel your order prior to having the order shipped and feel that you are a victim due to the way they conducted their business, please dispute the charges with your credit card company.

I urge everyone who had a bad experience with Wisetronics to file complaints against them and also try to get your money back via your credit card company's dispute department.
- File complaint with Better Business Bureau
- File complaint with Attorney's General Office
- File complaint with Consumer Affairs
- Dispute charges with credit card company

Do all you can to stop these bullies and show them they can't push you around.

I know some of you make think the consumers who went ahead and approve the purchase is at fault. Granted that's the first mistake I made and many others have done it, it's still not right what Wisetronics does. They make it very difficult for you to cancel or return your order.

I will post more to this thread when I have more info.

Thank you for reading. Please post any comments/feedback. I am interested in hearing from others.

Be Warned!
Wisetronics seemed to have the lowest price on the Canon G7 I ordered online. I then got an email saying that I needed to "call to confirm my order". Some guy named "Stevie" proceeded to bloat my order with what turned out be very low quality, overpriced accessories. The camera arrived with the language set to Japanese, making it very difficult to get it working. The accessory lenses that "Stevie" so enthusiastically recommended are of very poor optical quality, essentially worthless. A wide angle lens actually arrived dirty and damaged. Wisetronics' return policy makes it extremely difficult to return defective merchandise, it's all or nothing, and they charge a ridiculous 20% "restocking fee". This is an abusive business and I will never do any business with them again.
