I attempted to purchase a new point and shoot as Christmas gift from Prestige Camera, which was shown to have camera in stock with best price. After online purchase I was directed by email to confirm with Prestige. Rep then proceeded to try and upsell me additional so-called longer lasting battery (Canon said was absolutely unnecessary). Then I was asked by Prestige salesman why I purchased a foreign model because all menu items would be in foreign language. I responded that I did not order foreign model and was told that all their cameras were foreign as mentioned in their mouseprint

"policy" statement. I was then offered US model at additional cost of $60. I cancelled entire order at this point. Seems like there ought to be a way to police these bait and switch schemes
