Newegg Free 3 day shipping not 'FREE'

I decided what the hell I will try them again. After all everyone claims they have gotten better...

Well I placed two separate small orders.
During shopping all the items I placed in cart all stated "free 3 day shipping".
I paid for first shipment(about 10 days ago), shipping was not "free" even the 3 day ground. It cost me 14.54.

I said ok, well... hmmm.
I then placed a second order today, again all the items I put in cart claimed "free 3 day shipping", and again it was not free, this time 8.69.

So exactly what is the deal, are they gonna hold to their own advertising or what? While this is only low 20's it is still money that I should not have had to spend. At least according to THEIR website...

So again, I will simply deal with this and ward them off even longer.

Have you ever thought of calling them up or PM'ing their rep here about this issue and telling them about these 2 incidents? If you aren't rude and give them your SO numbers for the 2 orders, they probably will credit you for the shipping charges that shouldn't have been there.

I've ordered parts with their "free 3 day shipping", which is UPS by the way and not Fedex, and gotten the free shipping. If you chose Fedex for the shipping agent in checkout, then shipping is no longer free.

Interesting. I just placed an order with them today for items with "Free 3 Business Day Shipping" and it was exactly that, free. I, of course, selected UPS Guaranteed 3 Day Service. Remember, free shipping doesn't apply if you live in Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico.

Why would you complete the checkout if the shipping wasn't free? I just added stuff to my cart that says 3 day shipping free... and sure enough it is free.

Well...

1. I live in Illinois. Nothing foreign/out of lower 48 about it.
2. I did not change any of the shipping terms at all.
3. I plan on contacting them tomorrow about this, sorry but I do have a little more important things to do that try to get other peoples mistakes corrected.

That's odd, I just ordered a whole new system (little under $1,300) case and everything. My shipping only came to;

I'm going to order something from Tiger Direct tomorrow and if everything isn't perfect to a T to my expectations, I am going to come here and blow it all out of proportions and cry about it.

I just ordered a processor from newegg the other day, and the shipping was free... it sounds like you just didnt do the checkout right.

I am getting sick of you shnit.
I am not crying about anything, I am stating what happened, and why I have a problem with them. If you want to use that rationale everyone on here is crying about something... Including you...

All you do is defend newegg, THAT IS ALL YOU DO. You still want to blame anyone BUT THEM! I have the guts to hold people accountable for their mistakes.
I gave them two more LEGITIMATE CHANCES.

I even had to contact them TWICE to get the CORRECT rebate forms.
And speaking of that I was not even EMAILED A LINK TO THEM WHEN I PLACED THE ORDER!

I had to get on their live person whatever and wait 20 some odd minutes for someone to give me the WRONG form (incorrect dates listed) then I happened to look over it before sending it off and noticed this and had to contact them and wait again to get the CORRECT one.

While no this did not become THAT big of a deal, it could have become exactly that had I not noticed this. This could have cost upwards of $90 in rebates. THAT is a big deal to me. That was the factor when I chose to go ahead and get these items and try NE again Vrs getting the exact same things from TD with only a $30 difference once you accounted for the rebates.

And yes, getting charged more for an advertised price than I should have (for anything), to me IS a big deal. I am not made of money and I suspect no one else here is either. Granted yes I was refunded, but ONLY AFTER I contacted them about the problem. A problem that should have never happened IMHO.

Having to go out of my way to have other people's mistakes CORRECTED is also a BIG DEAL to me. I ask for things to go as advertised, period. I do not expect problems, and I can accept a small fault. But if that fault has a possibility of costing me money, forget it. I have no forgiveness or sympathy.

Maybe you are willing to give up time or money to errors, as you seem willing to accept that while I AM NOT. Again, I simply ask for things to go smoothly. Which NE in my eyes STILL CANNOT DO.

While just one minor incident with two orders would not be THAT bad, having THREE INCIDENTS WITH ONLY TWO ORDERS.... IS. At least to me it is.

Lord forbid I want things to go smoothly when I order something, gee what the hell am I thinking about wanting that? I must be out of my mind for wanting that...

Like I said, I gave them two more chances, they STILL are not doing business the way I like it. I will continue to stay away from them, and will continue to advise others to do the same.
